Okay ive been working on a TFP+RB Au recently

While working on it something came to mind, in season one we see time and time again heatwaves willingness to join the war. While most see it is as him being selfish and just wanting to fight I wanted to make it deeper than that.

For heatwave it isn’t this selfish desire of him wanting to fight but him needing to. Because in his eyes it’s the only way to payback for all Optimus has done for his team.

For Optimus has made sure to keep heatwave and his team away from the war.He found a safe place to stay,Made sure they would be well cared for in the burn’s family, Made sure they had everything they need, enough supplies, enough energon,to live comfortably without having to worry much, yet-

Optimus wants noting in return

And that bothers him, Because heatwave knows how much the Autobots are stuggling right now. He knows from what Bumblebee has slipped up that team prime is low on resources, low on bots, Low on energon

Yet the prime doesn’t show this when he’s with them. He acts like nothing is wrong, like he isn’t struggling.

Why? Because they are innocent, they are civilians. Not ment for the life of war and while heatwave feels insulated by the implication of being seen as to weak, he know that in a way the prime is right. That heatwave can try to deny it all he wants but…

When he looks at his team, his friends, his brothers.

He knows they won’t survive in such a world, even he wouldn’t survive because while he maybe able to fight and take a life of another bot, doing such an act would kill him internally

So he’s grateful for all that Optimus is doing to keep them out the war. And while he knows that he’s never gonna be apart of team prime doesn’t mean he will stop asking and by the time he does stop, well… he would have found other ways to help the prime.

Present-day TFP Moonracer has some memory issues due to the [REDACTED] so sometimes she mixes up names and faces and her processor mashes them together to fill in the blanks.

When she met Smokescreen, some wires crossed and she mixed him up with Bluestreak and ended up calling him "Bluescreen". This went on for nearly a year and nobody thought to correct her.

So when someone FINALLY asks her why she calls him that and she's like "That's his name???" does she realizes her screw up. And is mortified.

When Soundwave finally gets Rumble back, the minicons' put in one of Frenzy's spare frames while he remembers what it's like having limbs and a face again with a fresh layer of paint slapped on.

(it is slightly lazy on my part to just do a recolor i'll admit but i doubt the show itself would have done much different)

Rumble refuses to go on missions alone now, not that Frenzy or Lazerbeak minds accompanying him. If anyone else has a problem with it they can take it up with sound wave.

he's twitchier than he used to be and (while he'll never admit) is genuinely terrified of the Wrecker Snipers who used his spark as unlimited ammunition. (Soundwave is planning all sorts of nasty schemes for those two.)
