Been watching some old Technoblade VOD's(mostly DSMP ones), and Techno mentioned once ((when he was talking to Phil about building his house)) that he initially wanted to build a big mansion type thing so he could fit all his fanart and stuff, but then he said he remembered how in the Antarctic Empire he had that huge base and then only used a single room consistently, so he chose a cabin instead.
I now headcanon that Technoblade doesn't like big open houses, especially when he's alone, because they feel lonely and cold to him. :)
And also that's why he likes living with people and animals.

Thinking about how they arenāt quite parent/guardian and child but also arenāt quite peers. If yāall have been here long enough you know how feral I get for stories of immortal characters. And in my headcanons both Techno and Phil are immortal Phil is just an older immortal (both in total years and the age at which he stopped aging)
So itās just interesting to imagine how it feels to hang out with this guy who is an adult just like you but you watched him grow up and also watched him age a couple more hundred years into immortality. And so by mortal standards Techno is crazy old and knowledgeable but by Philās āthe only human person currently alive born 3 thousand years agoā standards heās still young. Of course Phil isnāt morally flawless but I can just imagine him seeing Techno make these mistakes and think to himself āyouāll know how wrong you are right now once you get a few more cycles of history repeating itself under your belt, for now I still have to watch you make such human mistakes.ā Namely among them being getting attached and personally invested in mortals choices and their consequences. To me Philās actions on the dsmp are far more connected to his grief than causes heās invested in like Technoās dedication to anarchy.

Technoblade at age 10 is told that heās going to have a new baby brother and he says ānoā and promptly fucks off into the woods and Kristin and Phil have to find him. It takes 5 hours and Techno has built a small collection of tiny homes out of branches and strung up collected animal bones as a perimeter. They take him to therapy after that

I just think heās really neat and while listening to his streams in the background, came around to this.
- the human design is more for fun, spending a large majority of the time in his normal hoglin form. human form being used for overall convenience, low profile, or formal events.
- can transition between 4 legs and 2 for convenient traveling and a larger scale of movement.
- due to originating as a nether mob heās doesnāt have access to additional lives.
- his iconic cape was a gift from Philza back during the Antarctic Empire, as he hadnāt adapted to the colder climate quite yet until his fur thickened. he kept it.
- his iconic crown has ācurse of bindingā on it and is the instigator of āthe voicesā
So uhhh this is kind of a weird question to ask? But I don't know any other people, and you seem like you've got a pretty good understanding of his character, so....
How do you think c!Techno would react to somebody crying? I feel like he'd probably be hella awkward, but I'm not sure how he'd go about it, if he'd just let them be, or clumsily attempt to comfort.
Also let's say the somebody in question is a teen (around bench trio's age) he's known for a while, like a few months or something

C!Techno, as established many times, is very susceptible to peer pressure, and one aspect of peer pressure is societal norms which say 'this person is crying, its *your* job to fix it'
Techno learnt 90% of his 'how to comfort' skills from Phil (and the other 10% is a mix of 'oh god oh no improv time' and 'i read this in a book once. probably'), but unfortunately most of the people Phil was comforting in the latest few decades have been his own children, and comforting sobbing small children is a vastly different ball game to comforting a teenager. (If you are an adult crying, Techno isn't even trying. He'll leave you be and maybe come and find you later once the panic is over)
He's adept enough to know that picking them up isn't the best idea, although he could easily do it, as people tend to get offended when you pick them up, so his likely go-tos for stopping the crying is 'present with an object', 'bring water, because one cannot cry and drink at the same time' or 'talk about something random and preferably nonsensical until the crying one is too distracted or confused to cry'
Once the crying has halted, (oh god oh no more improv time), he'll very awkwardly ask if you needed anything, more water, a hug, someone to talk to, and then do his best to deliver. Hugs will be clumsy, since usually the closest he gets to people is either Phil perching on his shoulder or stabbing someone, and he can't promise he'll be able to comfort more than 'there, there, uh, oh god no dont cry again-', or give advice outside 'i can kill them. no? uh- anarchy. that always works', but he'll try
Bearing in mind this is only for someone he knows and is fond of, if you're a stranger, he's minding his own business entirely, because why would he make his own life harder?

Part of my big differentiation in TLWW between the imposter āTechnoā and real Techno is how āTechnoā is a soldier because although I see the headcanon so often. That man could NEVER. Sorry, you want to put him in a STRUCTURED STRICT environment to be the TOOL OF THE GOVERNMENT. What?? The sarcastic laid back anarchist could never. They would ask him to stay still to stand in formation and his adhd would explode. Like I maybe see him trying to join for training opportunities and then immediately dropping out because he canāt stand it. He could be a mercenary at best and even then I cannot imagine him handling subordination with any grace. Techno despises a hierarchy. (At least institutional ones, heās perfectly fine with might makes right, but specifically the constant demand of obedience, rigidity, and, oh yeah, being the coercive arm of a government, really go against so much of his characterization.)
