I know the design for him basically says that he is just made out of some sort of sand that looks like magnetic sand, but we don't actually know that much about dark matter.

For all we know that could just be how it works in this universe.

I think he half learned to love destruction, and half was programmed to enjoy it.

Cause, you know, Nature vs. Nurture.

And, when I say programmed, I mean when he was made, the god had to make sure he was gonna do his job, so it likely made it so he would get basically a rush of endorphins when he did it.

That's why he still enjoys it on a more physical level.

But I also think he enjoys it because he's not supposed to do anything else.

At least as far as we know.

And when you repeat something over and over, often times it sticks in people's heads.

So even if he might not have wanted to, he became it anyway cause that's all they wanted.

He just seems to be made with destruction in mind.

But with everyone always telling him he's nothing but evil, that's what he became.

Though, I think the reason Deus was able to get out had less to do with simply because he took the power away, and more to do with the fact that Rooster himself was not meant to weild that amount of power.

He's like a shell that gained consciousness.

That's definitely a good theory, yeah! :)

Though, to be honest, I'm not sure Deus likes anyone, more like he is kinda 'Eh.' To them and mostly hangs out with and teaches demons to spite his sister. :p
