We’re hurtling toward the end of January—can you believe it? How are your goals and resolutions shaping up? Did you slip-up and have to restart? New beginnings are always exciting! Today was very exciting for me as I started my official yoga teacher training 😃 met lots of new friends and am really looking forward to the spending the next few months in #svasana (and other poses) with them 😘💞🙏 (at York Priory Street Centre)

Who knew that 14 high school boys could be this QUIET, this STILL, this LONG. That 10 min #svasana was the truth after our 1 hour #strechandsmash with the Pebblebrook High School Varsity Basketball 🏀Team. My message for them while we were doing all that stretching and smashing was this "When you DECIDE to be a GREAT athlete, you first have to decide to be a MINDFUL athlete. Being a #mindfulathlete means that you have to get STILL, be QUIET, to quiet any negative talk or distractions. That starts with focusing on your BREATH, when you can control your BREATH you can control your THOUGHTS. When you control you thoughts then begin to control your ACTIONS/RESPONSE and begin to positively impact the game. " In the end, "BREATHE DEEP.
