Sedona overlook at Mt. Wilson - 7122 feet may not be too high by northern Arizona standards but it is the highest point you can propel yourself towards in Sedona. Running the 2,500 feet of rocky, brush choked gain felt like a decent milestone on the road to what I hope will be a shot at tackling the Grand Canyons “Rim to Rim to Rim” which packs in 10,000 feet of climbing in its 48 miles crossing the canyon twice. Dream big! 9.14.17

Life lately: camping and running trails with doggo. Sedona, Arizona

Such a dreamy run on Mount Wilson today. Sunset vibes, sweeping panoramas, vibrant wildflowers, and my favorite running partner (not to mention plenty of steep, rocky trail!). I slipped right into that beautiful zen like state of concentration that comes with technical trails and got to blend it with runners high and that blissful springiness that seems to bloom in my legs sometimes and make me speed up and lengthen my stride in a recklessly fun and sketchy way that reminds me of being a kid again. It's ephemeral as all get out but I don’t have many vices anymore so I kind of live for that feeling.
