Would Thrash from The Plucky Squire have a Rillaboom?
Yes, they would
No, they would not

Please reblog for larger sample size and discuss below :)
"Rillaboom has become one with its forest of drums and continues to lay down beats that shake all of Galar."
There's a part of me that wants to compare Rillaboom to Phil Collins. Phil Collins is probably the biggest UK drummer my brain can remember. He did the music for Disney's Tarzan. Rillaboom carries around a drum, they're a monkey (and monkeys are basically half the cast of Disney's Tarzan). Part of me things you could call the three Galar starters Phil Collins (Rillaboom), David Beckham (Scorbunny) and James Bond (Inteleon). And I don't think I'm wrong for that.
Weirdly, Galar is the region with the most cohesive real world influence to me. The Crown Tundra and the Isle of Armour notwithstanding, Galarian Pokemon are all very UK themed to me. Galarian Weezing being smokestacks that look like they've got beards and top hats, Mr. Rime basically being Charlie Chaplin, Corviknight looking like some beast out of old arthurian legend, hatterene basically being a witch or sorceress like Morgan Le Fay, Polteageist, Indeedee being like a Butler or a Maid, Glimwood Tangle looking like something out of old folklore about the fae, galarian yamask and meowth being like references to the old norse invasions of england, etc.
I'm not British. But Galar screams England to me, and I just think it really creates a realism that you then can't easily move on from. Paldea going back to being more loosely inspired by a country feels like it gives me whiplash after the extensive work I felt Galar had. I felt like Kalos, Alola and Galar were all building on each other. We were slowly getting more of a lean towards real world references and stuff. And yet I feel like Paldea took us many steps back.
The Paldea starters are nothing like the Galar starters. Galar's starters all vaguely feel like they're related to their home region (something no other region pulls off too well). And also...I think Paldea has starters who all look pretty bad. Or who I just don't personally like. Whereas I don't mind any of the galarian starters. I don't love their final evolutions, but I can still appreciate them. I only dislike Cinderace and Inteleon when I see them next to a human, and then I realize they're basically humans proportionally. But without that, I do like them a lot.
This is from last week I just never got around to posting about it but I beat Rillaboom the Unrivaled in Scarlet. Anyway now I’m going to attempt Cinderace the Unrivaled
