I love both options because as the "first Dark type gym leader" it makes sense that Piers would be the one to establish the gym, as a stage and as a way to liven up Spikemuth (which just makes him even cooler).

Currently doing a play through of Pokémon sword with our Gloria fictive!! She’s having a lot of fun with it :D!!

i remembered it having maybe some market stalls or something instead of shops but no i completely forgot it actually has nothing

i also forgot how intensely awkward it is after you have walked through the city (or rather the straight line) and heard the music layering up with extra instruments as you get closer to piers (which is pretty cool) and you think you're going to get something really dramatic and neat at the end but you just get piers appearing to be singing but making no noise whatsoever to a crowd of adoring fans

pokémon needs voice acting already... it might be shit like in zelda put please just put it in it's time

also piers had such potential to be an actual interesting character with his stance on dynamax (and marnie too, who i still believe should have been against dynamax) which is never properly fleshed out in-game... it would have been a perfect example of how rose's high-tech galar is having this huge impact on cities that can't keep up, an interesting perspective to show dynamax maybe isn't everything it is cracked up to be like rose would have you believe

i am begging pokémon to be properly good please i have shown my devotion for nearly 20 years now and the community deserves this i deserve this
