Damibin as Grayson's little tyke and nothing else
You know depending on when Damian is introduced to the larger hero community
There's a not so slim chance that people presume he's another one of Deathstroke' baby
The cavalier attitude, clear affinity to sword wielding, and a ridiculous amount of skill despite his physical age?
Add to that Dick went back to Gotham, made up with Bruce for no apparent reason
I'm just saying, the Titans having one look at the clingy ball of death threats, the resemblance is truly undeniable
Sladick having a custody battle with Batman as the mediator? More likely than you think!
----
Damian getting a face full of non Gotham version of Grayson, completely knocks Damian on his ass
Because for Dick, Gotham is his home turf, and his role in the family is not shot caller or decision maker with the last word
So his fights with Bruce, however vicious are more like teenage brat yelling at his mom out of frustration and hormones
So for a highly trained kid like Damian, the lack of lethal intent is clear as day. Damian is also used to the detached mannerisms of assassin cult, he isn't really expecting a warm family scene
Except outside of Gotham, suddenly the soft spoken bag of cheer and terrible puns has the attention of the room, and clearly people are deferring to Dick for judgement calls
Said room which is currently full of extraordinary humans with the power to topple skyscrapers and punch back hurricanes
Damian being underwhelmed by the acceptance, and in turn surprised by the respect that comes with being trusted as one of 'them'
----
I'm just saying it's interesting to think about a slightly altered timeline where Titans are still prominent, or at least the teammates are still a unit in the countering of crisis situations
And a Damian who's not Batman's demon child with too many problems to count, but Dick's trusted companion first
----
(Mild head canon)
JL and Titans having separate chain of command, due to the myriad of personal issues between sidekicks and mentors never being fully addressed
So even when some members do graduate to League membership
Strategy sessions usually become a subtle divide with Titans being more team oriented, while League is more used to deploying single heroes to deal with big areas
This trend used to be because the younger heroes preferred to be able to cover their inexperience with team work, while older heroes had more trouble not smashing in to each other while fighting

#what if the drama of 'born to be evil' was addressed in a less prejudicial manner and more
#how do you live when your sins aren't smeared accross your face
Damian learning to see the world that Robin made, with people who don't care that he's not what either of his parents want and hoped for in a child
