I don't know how long this will last but I'm hoping it will go for a good long while. And as I mentioned in a previous post, all seasons of TOS, TNG, DS9, Voy, and Ent are still available to stream on demand.

Or Tubi, which has a metric shit ton of stuff free with ads, and you don't even have to make an account or download the app. Same with Pluto, although Pluto is pretty slow.

Even YouTube has a lot of free stuff, and I don't just mean the official YouTube movie channel. I mean, there's a bunch of channels that upload movies you can watch without having to click a link to some shady website. YouTube also has a lot of audio book uploads too.

PreserveTube 💝✒️🌐

A separate website where you can view archives of YouTube channels and videos. Keep in mind the process of archiving videos does provide YouTube with traffic, similar to a downloader. However, once a video is archived, it is stored completely separately from YouTube and no longer gives them any traffic. It's not a full, true alternative, but it's pretty good.

A livestreaming platform often used by YouTubers in conjunction with their YouTube channel. You can opt to pay for a subscription to a creator you love if you want to support them, but following is free.

PeerTube 💝✒️🌐

A decentralized video-sharing project that allows individuals to host their own instances, which can operate independently, while still being able to view videos across other instances.

Vimeo 💝🌐🍎🤖🍏🪟

A video-sharing platform. A great recommendation for workspaces or to share work related videos, or for schools to share educational content. With a free account, you can upload 500 MB worth of video per week, and 5 GB maximum.

Glomble 💝✒️🌐

A video-sharing platform with an old-internet feel.

BitView 💝✒️🌐

Similar to Glomble, old-internet feeling video-sharing website.

VidLii 💝✒️🌐

Another old-internet-style video-sharing website. Be careful, some users have reported encountering upsetting or disturbing content while browsing, but I haven't encountered any issues yet. I've found a lot of my favorite songs on VidLii, some seemingly by official (if old and abandoned) accounts!

BitChute 💝✒️🌐🍎🤖

Alternative streaming website, easier to navigate than BitView or Glomble.

Vanillo 💝✒️🌐

Still in beta, Vanillo is a video-sharing platform that navigates similarly to YouTube. It is very easy to navigate.

Chinese video sharing website. Good for anything where you don't necessarily need things in your native tongue (ex, yoga or music), or if you speak a Chinese language.

Niconico 💝🌐🍎🤖

Japanese video sharing website. Good for anything where you don't necessarily need things in your native tongue (ex, yoga or music), or if you speak Japanese.

Free streaming website with a variety of movies and TV shows.

Streaming service created by Dropout (formerly College Humor). Currently, you can get 20% off your first year, bringing the price down to $56 for a year's subscription. Dropout series are primarily comedy (Game Changer, Make Some Noise, etc).

Nebula ✒️🌐🍎🤖

Streaming service created by many YouTubers in response to YouTube censorship. Great place for video essays, but there is a lot of stuff on the platform. Right now, a one-year subscription to Nebula is only $60! Additionally, you can browse Nebula to see if your favorite creator is on the platform without even signing up!

I buy a lotto ticket every now and then, so I'm not opposed to gambling, but every commercial break (which has 4-5 short ads) almost every ad is for a sports betting app. Prizepicks, Underdog, Fanduel, DraftKings, and even an app to help you manage your bets across different platforms.

Another missed Sunday off my docket (bc I switched to watching HIMYM on Hulu and it was getting late), another guaranteed favorite episode on my list.

Three notes:

1. Seeing all the Palm Woods residents in the music video (and be the official music video in general) was really cool to see. I'm glad that Nickelodeon treated the song City is Ours and it's designated episode the special treatment. One of the best examples of episodes having the plot and music marry together to make memorable moments.

2. The car being driven is, in fact, “very, very pretty”, sucks how it never made more appearances in the show. I could see the guys ride around LA in this beauty and could potentially see storylines getting into shenanigans with it. I also love how the mv director is the same one from BT Photoshoot.

3. The video again for for the song “City is Ours” I feel like it's one of the epitome of preteen goodness on display. If you were 10-12 yrs old in the year of 2010, and you're watching Nickelodeon, all you need and wish for are good friends, good music, beautiful locations, fun atmosphere and good vibes all around. This video and a lot of BTR's music back then encapsulates that perfectly. I want to be in this video, and I'm a self-claimed social introvert. Also if you're not putting this song on FULL BLAST driving around in a city downtown, you're doing it wrong.
