Life is like a shooting star: beautiful yet fleeting.

I’m not saying it’s a cop out to show the character sacrificing themselves for the greater good doing so with a sense of acceptance and peace for their decision, but I personally prefer when they’re doing it scared. They don’t want to die, they don’t want to have to do this, and they go down terrified- but they do it anyway. It hurts more to see that and sometimes I don’t want to be spared just because I love the character.

🪷 My views on reincarnation and the afterlife is a little bit different than some might assume. From personal experiences relating to the souls of dearly departed family members, I believe that reincarnation is a personal choice. I don’t view it as an automatic switch from one body upon death to another, but instead a conscious acknowledgement that there is more to learn and contribute should someone make that choice. I can’t speak for those souls who have comitted great evils, but I believe the average person has agency in that regard. 🪷

🌲 I personally call into question any tradition that discourages women from leadership positions in spiritual and secular spaces. To make a woman believe that she is not worthy to teach based on her sex, and to teach men that they have nothing to learn from women- especially in her own holy spaces -is a tremendous mistake at best and a great evil at worst. An institution that accepts only male leadership is like a human being that is missing a foot. Men and women on a societal and spiritual level need each other. We are roots of the same tree. 🌲

Why do I love God? Because he forces me to cut holes in my anger and see that once my enemy and I may have shared a womb.
