in the dark FAQs
apparently a lot of stays don't listen to music that is not kpop, so there is a lot of "controversy" here about very normal things with the release of in the dark with dj snake. here are some quick answers.
my ask box is always open, hit my line if you have other qs and i'll give you my best guess of an answer.
why doesn't dj snake have any lines?
he's a producer. he wrote the song, created the track, and did everything except sing on it. he isn't a singer.
this is just like when they did going dumb with alesso and corsak.
other examples of artists that produce music but don't sing are disclosure, bizarrap, and tainy.
why doesn't this song sound like stray kids?
because it's not stray kids' song. it's a dj snake song. stray kids don't have any writing/production credits on it. stray kids sang on the track, but they did not take part in any of the creation of the song (as far as we know).
this is just like when they did come play with tom morello and young miko for the arcane soundtrack.
why do their voices sound so different?
they really don't sound that different. dj snake just produces their vocals differently than 3racha does. the vocals are a bit more processed than usual.
think about how chan used heavy auto tune in roman empire. it's just an artistic choice.
why was there a rolling release?
this is pretty standard for non-kpop artists. usually songs come out at midnight local time based on the time zone of the person listening to it.
