Crispy Baked Tofu Wings-Buffalo Flavor
This vegan Buffalo cauliflower recipe tastes just like real buffalo wings, but it doesn't have any meat or frying. For a tasty snack or appetizer, the cauliflower is dipped in a gluten-free batter, baked until it's crispy, and then tossed in a spicy buffalo sauce.
Ingredients: 1 head cauliflower, cut into florets. 1 cup gluten-free flour. 1 cup non-dairy milk. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon onion powder. 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika. Salt and pepper to taste. 1 cup buffalo sauce. 2 tablespoons vegan butter, melted.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 450F 230C. Gluten-free flour, nondairy milk, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper should all be mixed together in a bowl until the mixture is smooth. Cover every cauliflower floret with batter, making sure it's covered all over, and then put them on a baking sheet that has been lined with foil. It's done when the cauliflower is golden brown and crispy after 20 to 25 minutes in the oven. In a different bowl, mix vegan butter and buffalo sauce together. When the cauliflower is done, take it out of the oven and carefully toss it in the buffalo sauce mixture so that it is covered all over. Put the cauliflower back on the baking sheet and bake for 10 more minutes. For a tasty dip, serve it hot with your favorite vegan ranch.
