Hey, remember 2 years ago when I said "I bet I could teach myself to weave?" Well, this is how it's going now.
I wove some scarves.
Experimented with tapestry weaving (to mixed success).
And am still tablet weaving!

Got this gorgeous thing off the loom today! This is the main piece for our tree skirt; the top will be gathered and fastened in some way (button? ribbon? tbd) to go around the stand and trunk, and the bottom will have a wide ruffle to peek out from under our tree ☺️ (eta: the ends will be in the seam between the ruffle and the main body so they didn’t need to be woven in. It’s fine.)
Guess which glutton for punishment started not one but two scarves on the same loom simultaneously?? Will it work? Who knows! Stay tuned.if it does, this is a hell of a way to use up yarns. Had under 200g of the blue (left), and 50 g of the blue (right), one whole shuttle of the shhh! In the pastel rainbow shade for the left weft and under 25 g each of three differing shades of sidar’s soft spun for the right weft
New loom dropped!
I got a handmade present from my aunt! I didn't quite warp it correctly, but the way I'm doing it currently works so good enough!
The pattern's inspired by aSpinnerWeaver's Reptile Inspiration snake pattern. I didn't want to weave something as wide, though it did en up wider than I'd hoped for, I think is still looks awesome.

Picked the weft for the shawl. It is a dark green merino from Colour Mart that I an holding double. I like how it just melts into the warp.

Everything is cotton. I have done over 70 yards and over 210 feet. I’ve only kept two pieces for myself.
