Weaving the 6th sample for the Irish shaggy pile project!
Using the Icelandic shaggy pile technique with both the tip and cut end of each lock sticking out of the surface of the cloth. On a plain weave ground with no knots. This teqnique used 3 rows of spun weft then a row with the lock inserts an spun weft together.
I'm testing the different suggested methods for weaving the Irish shaggy pile that made the Medieval Irish mantle/brat!
