"That's Entertainment", "It's All Relative"
One could fill the dialogue of the panel, or use the premise again, with plot points from Riverdale for some meta-funnery.
Prompt #781
Person A overhears some of their friends talking about them, wondering why they do certain things or act in certain ways. They're not malicious about it, just confused, and Person A listens along to their conversation, surprised to hear others talk about what they thought were perfectly normal behaviors like this.
Then – "They're probably just a system, guys. I mean, think about it."
"... Oh, that makes sense."
"Yeah, I can totally see it, now. Do you think they..."
Person A stops listening at that point. A system? Their friends thought it made sense for them to be a system? Would – would being a system explain why what they thought were perfectly normal things to do came off as strange to others?
... What is a system, anyway?
Imagine Loki overhearing a rumor that you, his own wife, are planning to murder him. People have been speculating as to your motives and placing bets on when you’ll do it.
Loki’s not sure he believes it, but he doesn’t feel comfortable taking any chances. He begins taking extra precautions in his daily routine, especially when doing anything different, and makes sure never to turn his back to you.
You haven’t heard any such rumors, and don’t understand why he’s suddenly so jumpy and easily startled. Doesn’t he know you love him and would never hurt him? Still, it’s kind of funny.
Meanwhile, Loki is torn between thoughts that his beloved could very well be plotting to take his life and thoughts that he’s being silly.
Maybe he should give you the benefit of the doubt...
... But he’ll carry an extra dagger and let you have the first tastes of dinner first.
Just in case.

g/t prompt 18
When they lie down in bed, the Human can hear the borrowers arguing through the wall. While they didn't know what was happening at first, they quickly became invested in their family drama.
Eventually, the borrowers learn that they don't have to avoid being seen and you just have the human looking over them and eating popcorn while they go about their lives and have their own conversations.
Does anyone know any good songs/poems about eavesdropping or about inadvertently learning a secret?
Story time!
One of my best friends has a unique skill of saying things with genuine, kind intentions but they come out sounding like insults. It's really an amazing talent. And it never fails to send me dying of laughter whenever it happens. 😂
This last weekend we discovered something about me though. So where she has the skill to say things that were meant to be nice but actually sound insulting....
I have the unique skill to say very odd things that somehow is always when other people decide to tune into my conversations and hear out of context.
This last weekend we were at a wedding, sitting at our reception table with a handful of other good friends. And the dance music had just recently began to play a slow song every other song. We were both saying how we kinda wanted to dance but there wasn't really anyone to dance with and we should bring dates next time who know how to dance.
And my response was, "you wanna dance with me? We're already each other's dates. It can't get much more lesbian than this." Btw, we're both straight. (?).
(Lol I made myself laugh. Whoops. Anyway!!)
THAT'S when our ENTIRE table tuned in! That last sentence was all they heard! Already the music might've dipped or something too so it was just perfect timing that the room had gone a little quieter and I probably accidentally raised my volume a notch too. Idk. The whole table looked at me with wide eyes. "What!?"
Guys, you had to be there. Their faces were amazing! 😂
Anyway that's what brought about the official realization I have a knack for saying things that people overhear out of context that sound very funny. Like they're sorta funny in context but without context it's like 😨 or 😧 or🤔.
So that's me. Don't you all want to be friends with me now? 😂
