i bet having a beanie baby on top of you would feel so good if you were little
Hands are so important in G/t, you really can’t overlook them. They’re one of the most intimate connections between a giant and tiny. They’re safety, love, closeness, and security. They can be so scary at first and require a lot of trust building before being able to safely hold a tiny. All of the little details and imperfections are eventually memorized, and they not only become a welcome respite, but one of the most intimate things to a tiny. I love hands…
Hands are so, so good. Especially with the contrast you can bring that /enhances/ the soft and positive aspects.
Hands are safety, love, closeness, security, yes.
But they can also be claws, choking, destruction, terrifyingly dextrous tools used to fish things or people out of hiding places. They can be battered and bruised and calloused, or used to rend a building down to its foundation. Claws so sharp, something so small may feel they’re in a bear trap rather than someone’s palm- fingers curling over them like a cage.
But all that contrast can up the intimacy so easily, so beautifully. The same hands used to render a bigger monster motionless to protect the one they love, so delicately brushing their hair aside to check if said person is alright. The smaller party knowing their protector would never turn their claws on them.
The Master Hand/Crazy Hand dichotomy
G/t July #19: Trickster
"Welcome, Mr. Nilsson. You may open your eyes now."
Giles Nilsson blinked deliriously at the sudden bright light and the sterile white of this holding cell. He was seated in a chair, a white chair, at a table which was also white, and he wore a pitch black suit that he knew he didn't own. Across from him sat a stranger in white, the man who had addressed him a moment ago. This had to be some kind of weird dream. How did he get here?
"You may be wondering where you are right now," said the stranger in a calming baritone. "Unfortunately, I am not at liberty to say. Anyway it doesn't matter. You are here because I have a choice to present to you. Once you have made this choice, you are free to go."
The stranger pulled out a small black box and placed it on the center of the table. On the top of the box was an enormous round red button.
Nilsson perked up suddenly. "Hold on, I know this one. It's one of those sadistic choices where I have to push the button or die. Who are you again?"
"Ah, I forgot to introduce myself," said the stranger. "I am Loki."
"Uh, like the norse god?"
"Exactly," he said. "I am he."
"You're a god."
Loki nodded. "Yes. The gods are real. All of them. All of them except for Set."
Nilsson was sure he was being pranked. "Wait, why Set?"
"It's obvious," Loki replied. "I don't think I need to explain it."
"But all the other Egyptian gods are real?" Nilsson asked.
The god rolled his eyes. "It feels like we're straying from the topic a little. Mr. Nilsson, I have brought you here as I have brought many others because there is a choice you need to make - a choice that will determine the course of the rest of your life."
"But all choices determine the course of the rest of my life," said Nilsson.
"Shut up. Wouldn't you like to know the choice?"
Nilsson thought for a long moment and then nodded. "But if you're going to offer me money on the condition I kill people or something then the answer is no."
That answer seemed to please Loki, who smiled slyly. "Nothing quite so obvious. See, you humans are always so concerned with morality and feelings. Far too few of you are easily tempted to murder, even for millions of dollars."
"Then what happens when I press the button?"
"Patience, Mr. Nilsson," Loki said, waving one hand casually in the air. "If you press the button, you will be shrunk. And - "
Tap. Giles Nilsson had already pressed the button.
Loki paused with his hand still in the air. "What are you doing?"
Nilsson shrugged. "You said the terms. I pushed the button. Can I go now?"
"I don't think you understand, young man," said Loki, a look of confusion crossing his face. "If you press the button, you will be shrunk a little. For real. I am going to take inches off your height. I am a god and I can do that."
"Neat," said Nilsson, pressing the button again. Tap.
"Stop that! I haven't even explained the other part of your sadistic choice."
Nilsson froze. Somehow he had forgotten that. What if someone had to die because of him? He'd pressed it twice! Were two people already dead? "Oh god, what's the bad thing that happens?" he said, his voice flat.
"That is the bad thing!" Loki growled, grabbing at his hair in frustration. "I'm going to shrink you, but…"
Tap.
"Mr. Nilsson, I don't think you understand. Your choices are cumulative. For every time you press the button, I shrink you more."
Tap.
Loki yanked the box back out of his reach. "Okay, you have to wait until I finish talking. For every time you press the button, I take an inch of your height in exchange for cash. The more you press, the smaller you get, but the more money you make. The pot starts at 1 dollar and doubles every time you hit the button."
"But then I shrink," said Nilsson.
"Then you shrink," Loki repeated.
"Okay, so what's the limit? How many times can I push the button?"
The god looked genuinely unsure. "Nobody's ever pressed it more than… wait, that's none of your business."
Nilsson took advantage of his brief confusion to reach across the table and wrest the box out of his grip. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. "Why isn't this thing working? I haven't shrunk at all!" Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap.
Just as quickly, Loki grabbed the box right back. "You get shrunk all at once at the end of this. I don't think you realize. This is permanent. You'll be tiny forever!"
"Give me that!" Nilsson cried, diving over the table and tackling Loki to the ground. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap.
"Well I hope you like being a little guy!" Loki roared. "I lied about the money! I am the trickster god. You've fallen into my trap! You are - "
Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap.
Loki pushed Nilsson off him and stood, while the man kept tapping the button. "That's it, I quit. Humans are weird. You're sick. I'm done trying to trick you people. STOP PRESSING THAT BUTTON"

tailor fairy who asks you if they can take your measurements
"Tinies who are little shits" "giants who are little shits"
A TINY AND GIANT WHO ARE BOTH LITTLE SHITS CONSTANTLY RAGEBAITING EACH OTHER. THATS WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS.
isn't that just tom and jerry?
I just found out that Disney+ put up a whole bunch of POV ride throughs of Disneyland rides for the 70th.
Okay, so we watched them all (excluding Incredicoaster, because who cares?) and it turns out there's also a few land walkthroughs. But since we did rides first and then lands it took a while to realize... The camera kept slowly panning over and lingering on the Coke products. It also went through Coke Corner on Main Street. These POV videos are sponsored by Coke.
It actually got kind of comical, when the camera would barely linger on anything in Avenger's Campus, but strolled on into Pym Test Kitchen, not to watch the pretzels get changed in size, but to look at the Coke machine. My god. XD
domestic g/t with an unemployed giant and a breadwinner tiny….. lmao 😭
the tiny taking good care of their giant and always makes sure they are getting all of their needs met by getting reminders to eat, wake up on time/go to bed early, etc…
giant feels bad about this bc since not having a job and/or being in a slump up till this point, the giant always provided for their tiny, and having the role reversed is foreign to them…
however, they both make the most of it, and I’m seriously convinced that whenever the tiny goes shopping for their giant after work, they bring home their giant’s favorite things but they can’t always bring home all of it bc the tiny goes all out in loving their giant partner….
also also bonus points:
if the giant is a pc gamer during their time being unemployed LMAO. I picture the giant is wearing a gaming headset, invested in their game and they can’t hear their tiny partner walk through the door with all of the goodies they brought home.
omg also to make this make sense more— if we are going off of traditional tiny and giant lore:
it would make sense for the tiny to want to provide and collect for their giant (especially when they can’t do so back) bc of old borrower values. (let’s just assume in this scenario that giants and tinies coexist, and borrower values have been long since omitted— however that instinct of providing and collecting still resides within their instincts hehe)
in all, let your tiny friend/partner care for their giant!! giants already do so much for tinies so let the tiny partner reciprocate that love bc it’s hard for them to do so through physical affection most of the time! providing and the trust/care a tiny feels for their giant partner is special :)
Playing "It's on the Mouse" gets you plot points like
New Coffee maker here is how to use it.
The work has gotten harder but thankfully there's a new friend to help.
A thief has broken into the Cafe and she will step on you if she catches you.

people have these “my dog is a democrat” stickers and I like to imagine them with increasingly unlikely animals professing more niche political opinions:
my parrot is a democratic socialist
my arctic fox is an anarchopastoralist
my catfish believes in the divine right of kings
“My dog is a democrat” stickers Cause plenty spontaneous snickers, But I can’t help ponder Where else their views wander, On what other points my pet bickers.
To my mind the option it brings Of increasingly niche-seeming things Your critter conceives. MY catfish believes In the heavenly birthright of kings.

I wonder how many KH fans realize that the name of the old Mentor character is just the name of the Company that makes Kingdom Hearts, but spelled backwards. It seems so simple, but it leads to a cool moment when you get to share it with the members of the community that haven't noticed it yet. Anyway, I wonder if the first or last name of Eraqus is Tfos or Xine...
KH characters don't have last names 🤣🤣
I sometimes forget if newer fans know these little trivia tidbits. I've been in the fandom so long that it's obvious to me but I do wonder if there's anyone that would be blown away by this lol
Eraqus is an anagram for Square, not "square" backwards
The english language always has the letter U after a Q. If you treat them as one letter, then eraQUs is sQUare backwards. Otherwise, then yeah technically it is an anagram.
related to the recent batch of similar polls, wiktionary helpfully says that the software sense of "third-party" (as in "developed or published independently from the company responsible for the hardware the software is for") is contrasted with both "first-party" and "second-party", but then doesn't actually define the software sense of "second-party" on that page?
like it clearly means a different thing from what "second-party" means in a general business or commerce sense. but what the heck is second-party software. it's a term I've seen used and as far as I can tell it doesn't have a real definition more specific than "kinda between first- and third-party". someone should look into it and find some proper citations for how people actually use this term
Isn't the second-party the user?
my understanding is that's the commerce sense of the term. in software (mostly video games) it means a different thing
I know that the terms First and Third world country originated from the Cold War where America and its allies were first world, USSR/russia and its allies were second world countries, and neutral countries were third.
It’s always a lot of fun to ask a person what they think a second world country is, and to explain that Switzerland is a Third World Country.

"I don't want to make a video like that for these reasons" is not an invitation to persuade me why you think it's a good idea for a video. come on folks
"I'd watch anything you make no matter what" is a funny one because you'd think that the logical conclusion from that is "therefore, I should not have strong opinions on what types of videos you make" and yet I hear it extremely often as a "therefore, even if you think it would be a bad video, I'd still want to watch it, therefore you should make this specific video that you've said you don't want to make". like what are you doing
It’s like Brain David Gilbert’s Unraveled where he talks about how his initial Ranking Castlevania Monsters video wasn’t good. The Audience only sees the Good videos and thinks all videos this person makes are good, therefore all content they make is Good when No, they just show you the good stuff!
(Wrote this at 12 am on my phone, the grammar, spelling, and overall coherence is not here with this one)
I can’t be the only one who has wondered how the earning of money works in mixed size communities, right?
Cause like, tinies comparatively use way less space and way less materials when compared to a giant, with the giants being opposite of tinies, using many more materials.
So like…. Do giants and tinies make the same? And houses for tinies are inexplicably the same amount as a giants despite the building and spacial costs being much less, and or foods cost the same despite a tiny eating much less? Kind of making it unequal for the tinies as their costs are inflated for nothing more than keeping a status quo. Or is it on the opposite side with tinies paying much less compared to their giant counterparts (while still making the same wages) leading to an exorbitant amount of wealth growing within tiny communities while giants with the same jobs struggle to get by
Or is there a separation of wages, so tinies make less and giants make more. Which I guess is comparatively a bit better? But what if a tiny wants to buy something for their giant friend? The cost for them would be so much higher and the only fault of that is the wage difference. Sure, you could argue that tinies get a discount, but then there would be a raging market of tiny bought goods for giants, and oh the economy!!!
Idk, this is like the 6th time I’ve thought about it and being bad with understanding economics I have no idea how it could work in a fully equal setting
a tiny could move into a giant community that offers higher wages for the same job to send funds back to their family
