His voice is turning the corner earlier then his steps, telling everyone still awake at this ungodly hour that he is coming and doing his rounds.
Night Patrol is his favorite part of his duties, he can stretch his legs, he can get a few decent scuffles to help with his frustrations and he can make himself useful. Something that had been coming way to short in the last few weeks.
His steps are sure as he follows the dark hallways, his optics roving over metal walls and taking in the atmosphere. He is happy to be back, happy to do this.
You can hear it in his voice, the lyrics sang by a rough voice, but warm and contemplative, the radio clipped to his leg playing the melody in the background. He is not wanting to wake someone up, so he is not as loud as he really wants to be.

No I'm not goin' crazy, but lately these thoughts in my head
Are a whirlwind of a world of a million regrets
All the things I should have done, all the things I should have said
All the pain that comes with hating the mess you've made of yourself
I know I'm chasin' rainbows thinkin' I could make it work
But the fact is that my actions speak louder than my words

He walks on, taking corner after corner, hallway after hallway. The hours fly by and he keeps singing this one song. Over and over again.
