#moretum

Ancient roman moretum és flatbread egy változata. A következőhöz beszerzek tönkebúza lisztet, és juh sajtot is.

Ebben a maiban:

Kecske túró, maradék feta, 4 gerezd fokhagyma ( a két egész fej helyett), endivia saláta, rukkola, korinader helyett répazöldje, két újhagyma, egy kis friss kakukkfű, oregano, és 3 szál menta (több kellett volna). Kanál olivaolaj és borecet.

A kenyér pedig sima és teljeskoőrlésű búzalisztböl készült, basic élesztővel, hogy hamarabb kész legyen.

Magyarosítva az lenne, hogy...körözött lángossal.

The American national motto, ‘E pluribus unum’ meaning, 'Out of many, one’, is said to have been inspired by a line from the Latin poem “Moretum”. Attributed to Virgil, although the true author is unknown, this poem describes at length the making of a herb and cheese spread called moretum, similar to today’s pesto.

Think about that for a second. This means that:

a) Pesto has played a key role of sorts in American politics.

And b) Contrary to the Gilbert K. Chesterton quote, “Poets have been mysteriously silent on the subject of cheese”, cheese has been mentioned frequently throughout the poem “Moretum”.
