Can you do one about Jaafar beating you in every board game
Summary: Jaafar beats you in every game ya'll play.
A late afternoon rainstorm washed against the windowpanes, blurring the city lights into soft smudges of color. Inside the warm, dimly lit living room. You were completely at peace, sprawled comfortably on the plush rug with your chin resting in your hands. Across from you sat Jaafar looking effortlessly handsome in an oversized knit sweater, his dark eyes crinkling with a mixture of intense focus and playful affection.
The afternoon began with the bright plastic clatter of Connect 4. The yellow and red discs were scattered in small piles on the carpet between you. You casually slid a yellow token into the top slot, barely looking as it rattled its way down to the bottom row. You were entirely chill, enjoying the steady hum of the rain. Jaafar held a red disc between his index and middle finger, tapping it thoughtfully against his chin before dropping it into place. "Don't look at me like that, beautiful," Jaafar chuckled, noticing the amused smirk on your face. "You're the one who left the entire center column wide open."
You leaned back on your elbows, shifting your weight lazily. "I'm playing the long game, Jaaf. I'm testing your reflexes." "Reflexes are sharp, sweetheart," he murmured. With a satisfying, final click, his red disc slid into the slot, perfectly completing a diagonal line of four. He flashed a dimpled smile that completely melted any competitive spirit you might have had.
Next came the setup of Monopoly. Within an hour, the board was a colorful mess of property cards, miniature plastic houses, and stacked cash. You had taken a decidedly relaxed approach to real estate, buying up properties simply because you liked the color of the spaces, while Jaafar methodically built a financial empire.
Currently, he held a monopoly on the dark blue properties, and a neat row of bright green houses sat menacingly on both Boardwalk and Park Place. You picked up the heavy metal dice, shaking them loosely in your closed fist before letting them roll across the board. They bounced off the Community Chest pile and tumbled to a stop.
A seven. You counted out the spaces, your token landing squarely on his hotel laden Park Place. "Well, take it all, Mr. Monopoly," you teased, laughing softly as you gathered up your remaining colorful paper money and lazily tossed the stack across the board.
Jaafar gathered the cash, instead of gloating, he leaned across the cardboard board. His fingers brushed against your jawline as he tilted your face up, planting a lingering, soft kiss on your forehead. "Thank you, my lady. You’re a very polite tenant, even if you are officially bankrupt."
Hoping for a low stakes match, you helped him clear the board and set up the stark red and black squares of checkers. You played completely carelessly, occasionally reaching over to sip your drink. Jaafar, on the other hand, rested his chin on his palm, studying the board with the quiet concentration.
You slid a red piece forward, completely missing the trap he had been setting for the last three turns. "Watch out, honey," Jaafar warned softly, his voice dropping an octave as a slow grin spread across his face.
Before you could even blink, his black checker skipped over three of your red pieces in a single, fluid, diagonal motion. The swiftness of his fingers left you blinking in surprise. He scooped your defeated pieces off the board, stacking them neatly by his side before looking up at you with twinkling eyes. "King me, please."
"You are absolutely ruthless," you laughed, leaning forward to grab a spare piece and placing it on top of his black checker to crown it. "Only in board games, darling," he murmured, reaching out across the to gently squeeze your hand, his thumb rubbing soothing circles over your knuckles.
The last game was chess. You moved your knight to what you thought was a clever defensive position, feeling pretty good about your survival skills this time around. Jaafar paused. He reached out and picked up his queen, his long fingers brushing against yours for a brief, electric second. He set the piece down. "Checkmate, angel," he said softly. He leaned back against the base of the couch, a victorious, incredibly satisfied grin stretching across his lips.
You blinked, looking down at the wooden board, only to realize he had completely trapped your king three moves ago without you even noticing. You let out a breathy laugh, completely unbothered by the total clean sweep. "Wow. You really did beat me at every single game."
Jaafar crawled on his knees across the discarded game boards, being careful not to knock over the remaining chess pieces, and slid right next to you on the rug. He wrapped his arms tightly around your waist, pulling your back flush against his chest.
"Hey, you played great," he whispered against your ear, sending a pleasant shiver down your spine before pressing a warm, sweet kiss to your cheek. "But since I won absolutely everything, I believe the house rules state that I get to pick the movie we watch next."
"Fair enough," you smiled, turning your head to bury your face in the crook of his neck, breathing in his familiar scent. "As long as there are no dice, cards, or tiny wooden kings involved."
