Here's the pair of the mittens that would never end. They're for my SO. And I've been knitting on them for 2 months... (for a pair of mittens! I don't understand...) I've reknitted the one three times (because it was too small). While knitting them my left wrist got inflamed (that's healed now). I'm just so very happy with them being done and out of my headspace haha! Honestly though I'm very very happy with how they turned out in the end. They're my own pattern, with colorwork from Hönsestrik books by Anna Bauer. Knitted in Lettlopi. They have a foldable flap for easier touchscreen access. And the SO was the one who picked what he wanted on them. He likes the small cute animals. Julvanten 2021 continues! I love the color combo. I'm just not sure about the afterthought thumb. My hands doesn't fit very well with it. All fixed! It took way longer to avoid doing this than to actually do it. Here’s the deal: Circumference of mitten was too tight at the base of the thumb (no gusset for this one). I unpicked the thumb enough to wear it comfortably (last pic). Today, I “colored it in” using shoe rows only on the bottom of the hole, then went all the way around for a couple rounds adding some stitches at the sides. Then I grafted it down the middle, like a sock toe. Whew!
