Pattern is Rye Light by Tin Can Knits

Knitting is going so slowly. I can only really knit on Sundays, if that. But I finished the back. How do you all cope with limited craft time?

The beginning of this pattern is stumping me. And I don't know if it's nuances of French knitting, or me not knowing enough about knitting in English to understand. (I understand the stockinette and seed/moss stitch terms. And that it's some kind of shaping. But I'm lost on specifics.)

After about five months, I picked up my Neon shawl again to finally knit the edge. If everything goes well, I "only" have 19 more tips to knit in each color ... I'm making a garter pattern (I'm not sure if it's called a garter, it's called "harasho/haraşo" in Turkish, and it's always knitted using a uniform for example, only plain or reverse knit)
