Donato, l'Orso a due patti.
My project so I don’t go crazy at my parents for the last two weeks has been this pair of ankle socks. It didn’t take me too long to make them I just did it in between doing other things. Hence why it took so long. I used Patron brand’s Kroy socks line of yarn in the color Mexicala stripes. It’s very soft and I’m excited to wash them. I used two balls of it. I’m sure if you’re making children sized socks you could get away with just one.
This was the pattern I used:
This toe-up ankle sock pattern is the perfect everyday sock! Knit from the toe up, these socks are simple, fast, and easy to customize. The
It was very easy to understand and follow. Tho as this was my first time doing this pattern I accidentally made them just a touch too big for my feet. But this is ok because they’ll fit my sibling perfectly and they’re excited to have them. I learned a lot doing these such as I wish I had a sock blocker lmao. But no seriously, if you’re binding off and want it to be stretchy use the Jenny’s surprisingly stretchy bind off technique. It’s so easy and is actually very stretchy. I find the Italian (or tubular) bind off tricky and it doesn’t stretch like I want it too. Anyways I love these socks and I will be making more.
Now onto my next project to keep me busy
Just a lil guy!
Two delightful new Butterfly and the Octopus colourways that cost 20% less than our Mothy and the Squid yarn and use the same luxurious yarn bases. I’ve opted not to use inspiration photos for this range because I love to make nice things more affordable for you. The top colourway is Water and the one below Aqua. Relaxing and pretty, I hope you enjoy saving £5 on every single skein.

New batches of “That’s Enough” on all yarn weights. This is one of my longest running popular repeatables, and the one that brought me infamy after I was accused of stealing the colours pink and yellow from another dyer. Because these colours did not in fact exist until ten years ago.

Currently in the process of making my brother a dragon plush cuz he asked so nicely and even brought the yarn
East Anglia in the Spring. Dyed exclusively for @eastangliayarnfestival this coming weekend. The yarn is all boxed up and we will be loading the van today so I can leave as soon as I get back from uni tomorrow. This whole week has been set aside for show prep, packing, driving, and nothing else so I can’t wait to see you there!
