"Running has given me many things but the greatest has been the people it's brought into my life." This past weekend I ran my 2nd race postpartum. My friend Mere ran it with me despite my numerous "Are you sure??" questions and "I'm super slow" πconfessions. See, she's currently at the top of her running game and just qualified for Bostonπ¨I, on the other hand have been struggling to get my speed backπ© I told her a million times that I was gonna run super slow and she said she didn't care. When I told her the heat and hills were just too much for me and I needed to walk, she didn't care. When I told her this was gonna be her slowest race on record, she said she didn't care. When I felt horrible, she kept telling me how great I was doing. In the end we did it, hand in hand smiling across the finish line(scroll left to see pics). Talk about a selfless and supportive friend, this girl right here is it!ππΎ Can't thank her enough for what she did. So glad that running brought her into my life. Proud to call you my friend MereππΎπ #womensrunningcommunity #solesisters #runningfriends #mini10k #motherrunner #postpartumfitness (at Central Park)
