A productive weekend of running was had despite dealing with a hyperextended knee that I suffered in the weight room 10 days ago, then aggravated a couple of days ago when I stepped in a hole while running trails. Still it only hurts when I do things like pivoting on that leg. The straight-motion of running is fine. I ran 7 easy miles yesterday then did some striders. Today an easy 4.5 miles, just to get my weekly mileage to 30. Then I followed up with some core strength work.
It's been challenging working my way back to shape after the health challenges of the past two years, and patience is required. So is a good dose of humility, because I am an order of magnitude slower than I used to be. But I'm getting there, one run at a time.
