Just watched some reviews of the New Starfleet academy series.
I noticed one thing: Starfleet Starships are equipped with warpcores and warpcores are pretty dangerous technologies. They are basically, roughly speaking, more dangerous nuclear reactors. And one single mistake could kill everyone on a spaceship immediately. And if a starship is very close to a planet, that could endanger tons of civilians.
And with what does the starfleet academy curriculum start? With safety protocols, emergency measures or some talks about how not to accidently blown yourself and all people you know up?
No. They start with sociology, philosophy and debating🤣
Bullshit. Ridiculous.
And when an emergency happens, nobody knows how not to Die, but they can perfectly recite Kant??🤣
To be honest. In the real World, nobody would be allowed even close to such a starship without learning at least certain emergency measurements.
And in general, it is very apparent that the show does not really Show any cadets learn any STEM fields but just soft sciences.
I studied computer science and so we had far less dangerous technology but we had physics lessons on the first day.

Recentemente, recebi novas reclamações por estar dormindo até tarde, não é que não queira levantar cedo, mas meus sonhos tem sido curiosos e estranhos que quero saber até onde vai. De fato, são tão reais que jurei está andando na cidade!
Sei que a imagem atual está ligada a alguém preguiçoso (meio que isso é internalizado), acontece que ninguém chegou a se perguntar o "motivo" por trás disso, mas confesso, me parece mais atrativo ficar como um bolinho na minha cama do que levantar e me estressar com o mundo todo. SIM, O MUNDO TODO... A conclusão lógica: é que queremos que os outros nos compreendam, mas não fazemos o mínimo esforço para compreender essas pessoas.
No fundo, se quer todos se encaixem num padrão... e eu odeio caixas padrões!!!
