Super Mario Bros
When I’m focused on self-care it feels like I’ve picked up a coin in the mario/quantum-verse. There’s actual movement in the “game” coming from me now and I find that hilarious.
I had an acid trip where on my come down I was playing Terraria. My avatar was just standing there in the dirt. I laughed at it, turned around to look at my brother and said, “this is me” then laughed again.
Now I know that I’m making moves! However COMMA I am reminded of a distant memory where I awoke my 9 year old brother to help me defeat Bowser because I was too scared. And by “help” I mean “fight Bowser for me.” He was groggy and annoyed, but he did it. I felt so much relief. Relief that I didn’t have to do it. But now that I’m in Mario’s plumber boots? and with every coin I pick up I get closer to Bowser? Yeah! No wonder I was so scared to even hit START lol.
Idk how else to express how comedic this is to me. It’s supposed to be one of those grand epiphanies that make you realize your purpose or something like that. But I don’t have one of those at the moment so… actually no that makes it funnier.
No more thoughts. Carry on.
Transphobia makes me sad, man. I remember in high school my trans friend got deadnamed during attendance and it just made me upset, even though I knew the teacher meant no ill-will (she didn’t know my friend was trans). I can’t WAIT until people are able to just exist without interrogation or a specific reason to do so. As Yuval Noah Harari said in his book that I don’t fully agree with, we need to take accountability as the bad guys. Because we really are. The killing of animals, the way we hurt our planet, oppressive systems all for what? To maintain a crumbling ego? It all seems so futile… will we ever progress from this?
I no longer feel isolated by people my own age. In fact I feel weirdly annoyed by them, but I don’t condemn or hate them as much as I used to when I was a kid. As I’ve gotten older, age seems more and more irrelevant. Ageism becomes more visible and blatant. I see why so many blogs go ageless now. There’s this weird superior attitude that adults have towards teenagers (i’ve been guilty of this myself) and there’s a clique-y attitude with teenagers where they consider anyone over the age of 19 to be a senile old geezer.
I haven’t found others who perfectly align with “my” ideology, but I think I am okay with that. I have a humanist vision for us that includes global communism + anarchy (the two are twin flames and they need each other). Some of it seems to align with marxism.
GLOBALLY, not nationally, we need capitalism first. countries w communist governments that have a splash of capitalism do not count in my eyes. The whole world needs to be capitalist in order for us to be able to safely transition into socialism, which will naturally lead to communism. However, communism as a concept cannot be sustainable as a governmental system. It’s wholly contradictory. For communism to exist on a global scale, there will have to be anarchy. But as I stated previously, this will be an organic transition. Who knows if 100+ years from now we’ll need a communistic governemnt before we dip our toes into full anarchy? Anyways, here’s a flow chart of “my” ideology.
GLOBAL: capitalism > socialism > communism > anarcho communism > anarchy > humanism.
My dream is that we become the aliens that we write about in sci fi. All oppression can be dismantled. And it starts with capitalism, funnily enough!
I was raised with this kind of posters so i will NEVER shut up

Talking to yourself until
The spirits raise their worried heads
Heavy devils on your shoulders
Holding up, you're falling down
Don't be moaned that you're not faultless
You don't need to work it out
George Steiner (Paris, 1929 - Cambridge, 2020) was a writer and humanist.
