The Large Intestine: the organ, meridians, associated muscles and referred pain The classic referred pain is lower right associated with appendix and central lower abdomen foot “colon.” As to which, ascending, transverse or descending, I know not. Anecdotal story, but every time I review this organ I’m reminded of a client that had knee pain. After first session, she was good, but by the following week it had returned. Now, I may have missed checking both sides the first session because it was unilateral knee pain but second session lead me to the viscera. Upon palpating an extremely dense large intestine, I learned that the client only pooped once every 7-9 days. This part isn’t anecdotal. Pooping once a week or less is bad.
