Which means it gives me sort of a ‘bird’s eye view’ where everything is more zoomed out and I could see a bit more of my surroundings, which comes in handy, specially when an enemy briefly passes the corner of the screen
HOWEVER: it also means that everything looks a TAD smaller compared to the basic/standard FOV….
It’s helpful when I’m using sniper & shotgun tho
Mine is set to sync with my guns’ scopes/ads….
This means that when I scope, it is also in 90 FOV. Which says that I can see more of my surroundings HOWEVER
It takes away A LARGE percentage of the scope zoom
Specially if the gun does NOT have a scope equipped (which all but ONE of my guns doesn’t have a scope) which MEANS that if I’m SHOOTING someone from AFAR they look like this tinnie TINY dot, although sniper standard scopes still ‘zoom in’, it does NOT zoom in as much as if it weren’t synced to my FOV…. It’s good for when I’m close-up or mid-range, yet a bit harder to get used to if the target is FAR (again, the zoom is greatly reduced, so imagine how hard it already is to scope at someone hiding behind boxes with the sniper scope zoom on…. Then think of that but with half of the zoom reduced)
An Example of how my FOV affects my guns’ ads magnification would be:
Yeah, you see that right? THERE IS NO MAGNIFICATION- PFFT. Despite it being hard to use for far range, however- it IS very useful for close-up and mid-range fighting bcs again- provides more view of surroundings
I gotta rely on my BRILLIANT eye sight for when a target is far
(Ps:…. I wear glasses. And sometimes does glasses get foggy ;-;)
Always has me on high alert and shooting vague people-shaping things
