I got this feeling that the Jojo/Elmer (friend-)ship is truly underrated so I rewatched Newsies Live and focused on some Jelmer moments - here's the result:

they're literally talking so often - why don't I even see them so much as glancing at each other in fanfics?

when Les is shooing everyone away, Elmer's kinda moving his arm in Jojo's direction and yeah I guess that's his clue to hold his hands up, too but it could also be, like, kind of a protective gesture

Yes, I have to admit that they don't really interact that much in Act 2 but honestly, I love their friendship and I just wanted to share this
