Scar was relaxing; his mind didn’t wander too far with regrets. He had finally finished the zebra he’d hunted for himself and simply lay cleaning his claws in peace. That was until an annoying sound echoed into the cave. A growl escaped him and he rolled his eyes with a snarl.
“Zazu, to what do I owe this ever so annoying visit. The pridelands are big enough for you to fly around all day without ever having to stop by here. Actually, I prefer you didn’t I’m sure you understand.”
Scar stated in a monotoned voice. His body rising from the ground and he slowly turned to address the other. Once again, he was being forced to go where he felt he wasn’t wanted. The feeling neutral of course so he certainly didn’t complain about the isolation from his peers. The new command leaving a very hostile Scar. Why would Mufasa force him into their presence, scar simply didn’t want to be bothered, could he not understand that? The elder turned from Zazu with a warning of a growl to ward off the nuisance. Zazu got the message and quickly fled for this was a usual thing every time the poor bird was sent. Scar knew he hated it but he wasn’t going to make it easy and every insult was a personal message he knew would get carried back. If he had a middle finger he’d make sure to tell the advisor to carry that message back as well.
The sun began to set under a green gaze but Scar still didn’t move. Though he’d been told to arrive before sundown Scar decided had go when he got ready. When the beautiful scene had finished he stood slowly fixing his mane with his paw before trotting off to ‘visit’ with his brother.
When he arrived at pride rock he noticed an interesting silence, usually his brother was already at the bottom ready to start bellowing with words Scar never paid attention to. He had mastered tuning Mufasa out and placing a perfect timing on sarcastic responses. Slowly he entered the cave green eyes narrowing to a semi-familiar scent. After a few seconds of thought he realized what the scent was. New life, it was the cycle of new mixed with his brothers and Sarabi’s scent. She was pregnant! He could smell it and it brought a careful low growl of annoyance. He hoped his senses wasn’t as keen as he knew they were. Either way he’d pretty much assessed why he was called with that the lion spoke out.
“What did Mufasa want with me, I am not doing anything excessive so if that is the reason I suppose I will take my leave now!”
