HOCOTATE

hocotate is an incredibly hot and sunny planet. it consists of a lot of dry lands and savannas, but when the short winter comes it can be green, lush and beautiful. the language they speak is similar to japanese, but their culture is similar to slavic countries. here's a thing i made a bit ago:

KOPPAI

koppaite is the interstellar language, like english is to earth. everyone (almost) speaks it! the rescue corps for example, a bunch of people from 4 different planets, speak koppaite with each other. their language is similar to most germanic languages, mostly british english, and their culture is too. however, their goverment isn't very open to people moving to a different planet, and tourists/foreigners have a whole different region to go to/live in, where many natives don't live. most koppaites aren't quite familiar with people from other planets. according to the pikipedia, alph makes comparisons to the tropical wilds and twilight river. going off that, koppai has a lot of nature and tropical uh, stuff. a ton of different types of fruits grow there too.

KARUT

i admit i dont have a lot for this one. not like we have anything to go off either but yk karutians speak a language similar to dutch. (#projecting) according to the pikmin garden website, karut and koppai are sister planets! aint that cute? they have similar climates, a lot of nature and rain. unlike koppai however, karut is a very small planet. karutains are known to be quite direct with their words, and they arent very expressive. they do canonically have great dandori!

GIYA

giyans speak a language that is similar to german. they are known as smart and inventive individuals, having made a lot of different means of space travel in ''the olden days'' (idk what to call it). they are one of the biggest known planets in the galaxy, and they have a climate similar to western europe.

giyans are one of the very few species with sexual dimorphism! males and females have different eye shapes and fur patterns. biological females have a facial crest and rounder eyes, biological males have a sort of blush pattern and square eyes.

OHRI

THIS ONES MY FAVORITEEE OMGGOMG its probably cause my OC and my 2 favorite characters are from there... ANYWAY

ohrians speak a language that is similar to romance languages, mostly italian. i am NOT falling for the french ohri propaganda dingo is so italian to me.. their flag reflects their climate! this is their flag. also this comes from my pippas ref sheet :)

the northern side of the planet is warmer, more botanical with more forests and such. the southern side is a lot more cold and has a higher chance of snowstorms and stuff. both sides are cold, especially in the winter, but one is less than the other. (dont ask me how that would work scientifically i could not tell you)

because of the cold climate, ohrians have evolved a thick coat of fur. this is why i always draw yonny, dingo and pippa with fur tufts on their face! their ears are EXTRA long,, as you could see in the ear drawing,, for this reason: back when snow storms were even more common, it was hard to understand each other through all the noise. they evolved larger ears that pick up more sound to communicate! their ears are also very flexible :D

NIJO

nijo is an even hotter planet than hocotate, with an incredibly strong sun. most nijoe (pronounced nijo-ee) have a ton of melanin in their skin due to the UV rays of their sun. they speak languages similar to afrikaans or english.

according to the pikmin garden website, a lot of inhabitants leave the planet when they reach adulthood, only coming back when they grow old.
