“He's literally been it all. Grey Warden, Medical Doctor, trained in one of the most taxing forms of magic taught in the Circles, abomination, activist, bitch, cannibal, mentally ill. Everything (and more!) Solas can do, Anders did FIRST. And second. First and second at the same time. That's how ultimate he is as a character, he bends the laws of time. Suggested listening to truly understand him is Bitch by Meredith Brooks. I'm only kind of kidding. Trust me.”

“you can read him as heroic, monstrous, tragic, manipulative, desperate, or all of the above, and that’s why he sticks. da2’s story doesn’t work without him, and he’s the kind of character you’ll argue about forever, which is basically the highest compliment in dragon age.”

"I was basically all in from the moment it’s revealed he’s possessed, I eat that shit up any day. But as the game went on I only continued to like him more and more. It’s so refreshing to have someone that actually cares with his whole soul about something, so much it’s tearing him apart. Especially in a game (series) that tends to, let’s be honest, populated with many cynical bastards who’ve embraced a “fuck you got mine” attitude to life (though I do love my cynical bastards too, don’t get me wrong). And also, he’s just 100% in the right. If Anders has 1 million fans I’m one of them. If Anders has 5 fans I’m one of them. If Anders has one fan that’s me. If Anders has no fans, I’ve died. If the world is against Anders I’m against the entire world. Till my last breath I will support Anders."

vs. Vivienne

"Vivienne is one of the few people who ask you how you are doing afte the haven attack and approves if you go your way to save everyone. She managed to get power as a mage in the south playing the game starting with nothing, and turned a position of court mage jester into something of actual political influence. She also tells you ice titties were in fashion in orlais one time. And she has a magic sword and one of the best outfits."
