we've got to stop calling vivienne nobility btw bc she is like objectively not. she is in a relationship with a noble and had the empress' patronage. and this does allow her certain privileges and power compared to other mages in the circle, but it is all far more conditional than anything anyone born or married into nobility would have. which is why she joins the inquisition bc celene has cast her off and bastien is dying.
