“I do not let just anyone consult my private book collection. That is why it is private. You can still find some reprints in book or antique shops, surely. If you wish to consult it, you need to offer something in exchange : a proper transaction, like proper business gentlemen do.”

CHONGYUN SMILES HAPPILY at his friend as the other flips through a book. another successful meeting, he thinks. xingqiu gave him plenty to go on this time. there were more incidents than normal and part of him worried about the safety of those that might be involved. the other part.. well, that part was maybe a little selfish. it was cruel of him to hope that at least one of these accounts had some credibility to it.
he frowns now, ashamed of himself. don’t get emotional. keep it in check. there was nothing to be upset about. if each incident proves to be nothing more than fiction written by xingqiu, then he should be happy. even if he years to exorcise a demon, chongyun would never wish a possession on anyone. it could mean the end of them as a person. the demon could devour their entire being. no matter how much he wishes to put his training into practice, the safety of others is first and foremost.
chongyun’s smile returns to his face, though it doesn’t shine as brightly as before, clouded by his self-regarding thoughts. hopefully xingqiu won’t pick up on anything amiss with him. pulling a popsicle out, chongyun nibbles it gingerly before addressing xingqiu.
❝ thank you for the intel you’ve provided me with, xingqiu. i’ll investigate each report thoroughly. ❞
A good book to read would be all but rewarding, however, a wanderer can only make soo much mora by just street performances or whatever errand someone would pay them to complete. There was one book titled 'Dragon's Curse' that was quite a top seller within Inazuma for the past few days, the story follows a man on his quest to become the most prominent warrior without the aid of a vision. Though unfortunately for the disguised Kazuha whilst the book itself had cost 1000 Mora he's only had 200 on his person at the moment. “Hmm, perhaps another time, but rest assured that one day you will be mine.” His voice soft and still rather humorous setting the book back into its place and takes a step back.

‘Ahh this is such a small selection compared to Sumeru Academia.. Did the person who wrote “A Legend of a Sword” really here?’ Of the places Zola found herself more nostalgic in would always be surrounded by books. Yet the book shop didn’t have much to go by, especially the pay first policy.
“For a bookshop to have a popular book from Fontaine the shop itself doesn’t seem.. full.” The brunette felt deflated and just kept her gaze at the books in the shelf, not completely unsure but she was set on leaving to go look for a meal.

Fated Rain
Rinto was walking back home when a head of odd colored hair caught his attention. Was that a guy? He walked over, umbrella in one hand and his other stuffed into the pocket of his thick, gray wool coat. It was chilly, so he had dressed in some pretty drastic layers. If he didn't, his roommate would have kicked his butt when he came home with a runny nose and red eyes.
He tapped the "guy's" shoulder to get his attention, his umbrella hanging over top of the both of them to keep the rain from falling on him any more than it already was. "Hey, if you don't get inside soon you'll end up sick."
He didn't know the person, but he couldn't just sit there while they practically froze themselves to death in a rain storm. Why didn't one of the people who worked in the cafe come out and get him to move inside already? Were they that neglectful of their customers? Or did they just simply not care? Then again, there was always the possibility that they tried and were denied by the person.
