I used to think happiness has to come with work. If you didn’t do something worthy of happiness, then you don’t deserve to be happy. . We live in a society where we’re taught to work hard and play hard. Notice how playing hard only comes after working hard. And working hard always comes with an undertone of sacrifice. Today I'm starting a new yoga challenge for the next 2 weeks. I saw #fallintobasics challenge but it's already halfway through so I'm calling my challenge simply "fallintoyoga". Every day I'm going to share my yoga thoughts and feelings as well as try to post a picture with it. I love fall so I'm excited to dedicate some attention to my favorite season. Today i chose seated twist as a pose (I think that's what it's called). This stretches my back muscles so well it's a dream. After the September #yogagirlchallenge I haven't been doing as much yoga and I'm already starting to feel a change in my body... Feeling weaker and my muscles ache like woah. So another #yogaeverydamnday challenge will be just the motivation and accountability i need to progress with my practice. No excuses now that I have 3 months of free online classes @oneoeight.tv. Day 9: Ardha Matsyendrasana Half Lord of the Fishes. I love twists...even if I'm not able to twist 100% of the way...it feels so amazing on my spine. I also love the challenge to breathe in the twist. I really get a wonderful internal massage that way.
