To My Fellow Enneagram 9s:
I am writing this just as much for myself as for anyone else who may need some extra motivation during these times.
I truly believe that there are times when our neutralness and ability to see both sides is exactly what is needed, and in those times our passivity can be our biggest strength. Especially when we go one step further and mediate. However, now is not the time for that.
Confrontation and speaking up is terrifying. Uncovering what we truly believe is challenging. Maintaining the stamina to stay worked up and passionate about justice is exhausting. But all of these are a MUST.
We MUST learn how to speak up for those who can no longer speak. We MUST learn to stand our ground, uncover our moral foundation and stand firm because there are many on the wrong side of this issue who are firm in their beliefs and we can NOT let them be stronger than we are. We MUST push through our slothfulness and stay active because there are those who have been fighting way longer than we have, and, especially if you are white, it has been a PRIVILEGE to take a “mental break” from the corruption and chaos.
Lastly, most of us have a reserve of anger bottled up from years of being complacent and letting things slide. It’s time to unleash that. This is a worthy target of all of your pent up anger. Don’t be afraid of the anger, I know it’s uncomfortable, but it is needed.
Don’t fall asleep to this issue or your responsibility to speak up.
Black. Lives. Matter.
Type 5: "no I swear I do like people!" XD
Type 5 a few minutes later: "people are so stupid."

hope mikaelson • ravenclaw | ISTJ (The Logistician) | type 6 (The Loyalist) | true neutral (Undecided)
• ravenclaw ‣ quiet, watching things and thinking over what they mean and how they work, rather than jumping right into the action. they see themselves as somewhat superior to others, but are often kind about it and try not to boast about their own accomplishments. ravenclaws aren’t concerned with popularity, they are more concerned with being correct and well- informed.
• ISTJ ‣ ISTJs have sharp, fact-based minds, and prefer autonomy and self-sufficiency to reliance on someone or something. people with this type may struggle to express emotion or affection outwardly, but the suggestion that they don’t feel, or worse have no personality at all, is deeply hurtful. ISTJs need to remember to take care of themselves – their stubborn dedication to stability and efficiency can compromise those goals in the long term as others lean ever-harder on them, creating an emotional strain that can go unexpressed for years, only finally coming out after it’s too late to fix.
• type 6 ‣ the committed, security-oriented type. sixes are reliable, hard-working, responsible, and trustworthy. excellent “troubleshooters,” they foresee problems and foster cooperation, but can also become defensive, evasive, and anxious—running on stress while complaining about it. once sixes feel they can trust someone, they go to great lengths to maintain connections with the person who acts as a sounding board, a mentor, or a regulator for the six’s emotional reactions and behavior. until they can get in touch with their own inner guidance, sixes are like a ping-pong ball that is constantly shuttling back and forth between whatever influence is hitting the hardest in any given moment.
• true neutral ‣ true neutral characters see good, evil, law, and chaos as prejudices and dangerous extremes. they advocate the middle way of neutrality as the best, most balanced road in the long run.
