- 7w6 -

This type can be sociable or at the least, good at networking. A playful, jokester type usually. The 6 wing helps the 7 core to be more focused and diligent, although also a little scattered with a hint of anxiousness.

- 7w8 -

Both types are assertive types, so a 7w8 is more likely to be more passionate and independent. This type is assertive and straightforward. They will bulldoze through anyone and anything to get what they want. Can be thrill seekers as they like intensity.

Disintegration: 1

Disintegration to 1 can make a 7 become overly critical and angry. Nitpick and scold about any little thing. They disregard their usual positive nature and opt for a more harsh one. They are rigid and impatient. They feel restricted by themselves and others. They can take their frustrations out on others.

Integration: 5

Integration to 5 shows 7 is learning to be more thoughtful and focused. They can concentrate on subjects in depth since they indulge in their curiousities. They want to know the "why" of life. Integrated 7s basically learn to appreciate the small details of things.

Subtypes of 7

- Sp 7 -

Sp 7s prioritize their own comfort above everything else and will put in effort to ease the internal fear of suffering they have. They may do this by having a supportive network of close friends and family, anyone supportive. Sp 7s want to have endless opportunities and entertainment to use as distractions from their fear. They will actively seek these opportunities out. They dislike having to live up to the expectations of others as it feels restricting to them, so they may retaliate with small rebellious acts.

- Sx 7 -

As sx subtypes long for intensity in general, a sx 7 will seek out intense experiences in order to distract them from the mundaneness of life. They need mental stimulation in order to feel alive and happy. Sx 7s are often high energy and enthusiastic, ready to take any opportunity that comes their way. Their enthusiasm can make them highly idealistic and overly romantic about life, often ignoring the red flags. Can be unrealistic and naive. Can also get bored easily with predictability.

- So 7 -

So 7s try to convince people in their circle to live life to the fullest like they do. So 7s want to share their positivity and experiences with others; this subtype is the most generous and service oriented. Very influential. This is mainly to avoid their inner pain - they project their protective tendencies onto others. They want to make the world a happier place.

Core type- Passion: gluttony. E7s think that when something brings them pleasure, they should need an unlimited amount of said things to keep themselves happy. They continue this routine until they reach a state of uncomfort and so the cycle goes. Fixation: planning. While this isn’t the typical idea people have by the word planning, it's still very future focused. The mind constantly goes from one thing to another, considering many projects to take on at once. Trap: idealism. The e7 wants to form the present in a way that makes the future seem ideal. Later being disappointed by it and starting over once again. Defence mechanism: rationalisation. To avoid unhappiness they logicalize, rationalise, their negative emotions to lessen their effects and so stay focused on whatever it is they’ve dumped themselves on. Virtue: sobriety. Instead of starting and dropping project after project, they need to find a way to focus on patience and learn that external pleasure won’t get them the perfect future they desire. Key traits: Self-referencing, positive reframing/optimism, hedonism, rebelliousness, lack of focus/discipline.

Subtypes-  Self preservation [sp]: The sp7 is focused the most on the actual reality they’re in. Instead of merely thinking about what they want they focus on actually getting there. Because of this they can often be seen as more self-centred. On occasion they might even use other people to materialise this future they strive for.  Sexual [sx]: Opposite to the materialisation of the sp7, sx7s do mostly dream. True reality is too boring to them, so instead they focus on made up opportunities to escape this. They can often be very gullible into believing the best case scenarios, constantly searching for these to escape the pain that is ordinaryness.  Social [so]: So7s strive to create reality perfect for everyone. Their gluttony is more focused on the group than themselves, they would gladly give something away if someone else needed it more. They can look similar to e2s, the main difference is that so7s don’t necessarily need the love and attention e2s want. 

Contradictions- INTP, ISTP, INTJ, ISTJ, INFJ, ISFJ, INFJ, ISFP, ESFP, ESFJ, ESTJ While Naranjo compares e7 and INTJ at some point in character and neurosis, this comparison doesn’t make much sense to me. He describes far too many cognitively extroverted traits for the type to even be a bit compatible, so I'm very sceptical of this. On top of introversion, another (partial) incompatible dichotomy is sensing, this is mostly due to their fixation and trap. However, the passion gluttony makes sp7 debatable for ESTP. Types you might want to look into if you are on this list are e2, e3, e4, e5, e8 and e9.

To not settle with less than you deserve, to do as you wish, to not be restricted. The 7 looks up at the sky and recognizes its their limit, nothing less will do, nothing less is permissible. Heaven above might as well exist, and no god will keep those gates locked. The 7 will rattle, kick, punch, and eventually jump any fence because the grass is always greener on the other side.

Anywhere but whats now. That is the goal. That is the idea that brings the possibility of more of everything. Desperation to experience something else, the thing that others are experiencing, the great thing that everyone is talking about. Anywhere but here, because everything thats to see has been seen. All the wonder has been dried up to a single focused aching mass of what disguises itself as boredom. In reality, its not that fairy tale, its not that fun, its disappointment.

You've jumped the closed gates of heaven only to find yourself locked outside again. The 7 is always locked outside, always missing out, but desperately trying to get in and find what it has been missing.

Yet to be locked out is better than to be locked in a cage of ones own making. To a 7 forcing yourself into a routine, into a stale life, into the sobriety of the real world, would be like checking themselves into their personalized hell. The type is rejected by heaven itself, but whats so bad about that? Whats so terrible about feeling good? To be with a full stomach and a content heart? Isn't it a human right to live as you please? The 7 rejects punishment and suffering. They were not put on this earth to fade away miserably according to someone's standard, but how?

How can one escape the dryness of their throat when they swallow, the burning in their stomach, or the pulsing at the back of their head? To a 7, the burning in their stomach is the anticipation of a meal they can't wait to eat. To a 7, the pulsing at the back of their head is but a temporary buzz before their next shot of tequila. To a 7, the dryness of their throat is the joy of refreshment soon to come.

i don’t believe in the ‘any mbti type can be any enneagram type’ kind of crap.

some combos are just too contradictory to be real. like IxFxs who are type 8 or ExTPs who are type 4.

xxTP contradicts with 4, high Ti pulls away from emotions and tries to rationalise them, whereas 4 dwells in em.

however all IxxPs have a similar ‘aura’ that can be mistaken as type 4. for example: strongly values freedom and very protective of identity/ “i” talking.

soo an intp would still be very protective of his identity and still be self-centred but still be type 5.

on the other hand ANY mbti can have ANY enneagram type as a FIX. the first fix is usually the strongest, how strong it is depends on the person and on the circumstances.

it even happens that the fix SEEMS stronger than your core type if the circumstances favours it. if a 451 works as a researcher in a highly scientific environment the 5 fix can overshadow the core 4, however 4 would still be your main type.

another example: if the 461 is in a situation that requires them too be overly worried, their 6 fix will take over.

a lot of ppl mistake a strong fix for their core type and mistype themselves therefore.

soo if you think your enneagram is rather unusual for your mbti, consider it might be a strong fix and stop assuming you are some kind of ‘rare combo’ when you’re rly just mistyped.
