"we need to let girls know they don't have to be masculine to be strong!"
okay. can we let girls know they don't have to be strong to be masculine?
can we see soft butches? and no i don't mean a woman in a suit with a full face of femme makeup, i mean a butch with no muscle. no physical strength. a gamer, an academic, an artist, a baker, a knitter
what's that? you've made your butch a policeman?
of course.

seeing that a disorder is more common in men always makes me suspicious because on the one hand, yeah it could be actually more common in men. on the other hand, 9 times out of 10 its just less commonly diagnosed in women who have it and is brushed off either as something else or as nothing.
Took me over a year to figure this one out but heeeey better later than never! :)

A list of things I do/about me that make me question why I didn’t get diagnosed with autism sooner! 🌈♾️
- I would constantly get blisters on my feet as a kid cus I hated wearing socks and would rather have the blisters than socks on
- I had a year and a half long fixation on Dance Gavin Dance to the point I was ONLY listening to their music and nothing else and didn’t want talk about ANYTHING but them
- eating the same food and never getting tired of it (it’s noodles btw)
- (this one is after my diagnosis but still) made a list of vocaloid songs I could remember off of the top of my head to help calm me down and focus
- used to have bad screaming and crying meltdowns in 2021
- never having my overhead light in my room on cus it’s too bright
- having a over 350+ plushie collection
- constantly rewatching Good Mythical Morning episodes instead of finishing shows I’ve started
- rocking myself in my bed all the time
- not being able to tell when someone is joking with me or not
- curling my feet up unnaturally high/crossing my legs all the way around when I cross my legs (basically like this : 🧬)
- watching everything with subtitles
- I’m very blunt
- genuinely likes to make lists of things I’m interested in (I mean look I’m writing a list right now!)
- loud noises makes me wanna rip my ears off
- the feeling of sponges and Sherpa is disgusting and I’d rather touch a rose bush!
- always worked and socialized better with other neurodivergent people
- I don’t understand or like the idea of situationships (like just date or not?)
- the feeling of being damp is one of the worst physical feelings I think I could feel
I think that’s all I can think of for now! Knowing me I’ll prob think of more. But genuinely idk how I didn’t get diagnosed sooner. I obviously wasn’t trying to hide it much!
