I have type 2 diabetes, low functioning autism and a very rare form of dwarfism. So I’m pretty used to going to the hospital lol. I also have diagnosed depression and social anxiety </3

I really don’t want to be egocentric. I promise I don’t. I don’t mean to come off as selfish or closed minded. I genuinely do struggle with seeing other people’s perspectives me emotions.

Why should I give her any of MY money?? Just because she’s graduating and I’m her sister?? She’s the one with a job! She’s the one with a steady life in front of her!

She won’t even reach out and give me a simple “what’s up?” WHY SHOULD I GIVE HER MY MONEY THAT I EARNED AND SAVED UP AND ALL I HAVE TO ME WHEN SHE DOESN’T EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE ME HALF THE TIME ANYMORE?!!

If this is in response to my hiro-kun post. No where in it did I say he uses his mental illness as an excuse (or mine). Hiro is in a MENHERA band. You’re gonna see people talking about and depicting mental illness in their work. I made the post as a response to those who clearly do not understand what senketsuAkochan is about or menhera kei. Hiro (NOR I) promote things like SH or destructive behavior. He is someone who struggles with it as well as is open about his thoughts and feelings on it.

In defense of Mettazashi Hiro-kun

If Hiro-kun ever did something GENUINELY immoral on purpose (ex : idk hurting others) that is when I will no longer support him. I think a lot of the ones who do not like and hate on Hiro do not understand that mental illness is not just being sad. It is the destruction of the mind.

Mental illness can turn you into the worst version of yourself. It can make you blood and revenge hungry without you wanting to be. Mental illness can make you do things you never thought you’d do in your right state of mind. It is scary.

A month ago I blew up in someone’s face and continuously spammed their dms. I said vile things. I even at the end of my break tried to kill myself to get back what I thought in the moment was my final act of “payback”. It was disgusting behavior that I am still guilty for and forever will be. Never did I think up until then I was capable of being so cruel and scary. But my brain is so fucked it let my fear of abandonment and impulses take over.

Hiro-kun has mentions several times he is someone that has struggled with mental illness since he was a young teenager. Just like me he is neurodivergent (ADHD). He struggles with depression, anxiety. He as well has bipolar disorder and intrusive thoughts of harming himself and others.

I think the part that turns people away from Hiro is his outspokeness on his violent intrusive thoughts and his thoughts on how humanity treats those with mental illness. He is a straight forward man. He tells his opinions without sugar coating. We don’t get much depictions and representation of people who struggle with the more aggressive sides of mental illness that views the people with them in a neutral way.

We have come far from people seeing those with depression as “broken” or “in need of fixing” and have become more welcoming to those who struggle with mental illnesses that act more sad and draining. But there is still lack of representation for the more aggressive side of mental illnesses. There is still the stigma of bipolar people being “unstable” and schizophrenic people secretly being murderers. And that is just not fair!

We should treat everyone who has a mental illness with care and help because guess what?? All mental illnesses ARE ILLNESSES. Everyone who struggles with one deserves to be treated to and have outlets to express themselves.

Hiro has stated before that music is his escape. He is someone who takes his trauma, his thoughts and feelings and makes it into art. This has happened before with other artists. Why is it a bad thing when he does it? Oh because it’s too “graphic”? I’m sorry but mental illness and the thoughts that come with it sometimes WILL BE GRAPHIC AND DISTURBING.

Hiro is just someone who is using music as an oulet for his struggles. Obviously his work resonates with a lot of people (including me!) because look at Senketsu’s following! Hiro is just publicly showing what a lot of us feel and think on a daily basis. Just because it’s not the normal sad shit you see doesn’t mean it’s not something others experience.

Hiro brings me so much comfort. He makes me remember that my aggression and mental illness isn’t who I am. It’s just issues I have. I will continue to support him till it is no longer possible.

TL;DR : Art is supposed to comfort the disturbed and disturbed the comforted. Hiro-kun is just expressing his feelings and thoughts on what is it like to be someone with aggressive mental illness.
