I’m rewatching 7x05 just for the sake of figuring out these Deciples.
The guy Octavia head slammed has red blood
I can’t understand what’s being said while Octavia is in the elevator but they included it for a purpose.
I had to pause when Octavia was running “outiside” and looked back at the facility and this is the symbol placed:
And I can’t help but think that looks like a Phoenix with its wings spread and rising from fire? ashes? Which then lead me to remember the quote, “From the ashes, we will rise.”
Octavia looks to be in one giant ass greenhouse which makes me think this is like some gigantic bunker
So, watching the title sequence I can’t help but think those are the planets we’ll be visiting this season. The six planets being Earth (been there, done that), Sanctum (currently doing that), Penance/Sky Ring (occasionally doing that), Bardo (gonna regret this), Nakara (never again), and Etherea (?????)
Nelson? I think is his name?? He’s bringing some ally vibes. Not as much as Gabriel with his Lincoln vibes but maybe like Anya or Nyko vibes
“What could you do about it without an army?” Indra kom Trikru IS the army
Nelson being the only one to try and put out the fire 🥺 an underrated character
I feel like blind faith is gonna be a pivotal point of the outcome of the season
Emori still doesn’t look good and I get it’s from the radiation but like ?? She’s a Freikdreina?? She should already have the gene mutation that lets her have the upper hand with higher levels of radiation compared to Grounders. I get why Murphy is feeling better because the Arkers were exposed to the Sun’s radiation and he’s now a Nightblood as well but like ?? There’s something else with Emori because she just should not be this affected
Sheidheda is like “these people are idiots and I’m going to die because of stupider idiots.”
Levitt has such a soothing voice like Gabriel
“Who’s hand is it?” I see Aurora, Lincoln, herself, Indra, Lexa, Clarke, Bellamy as a janitor, Bellamy as Deliquent Camp Leader, Bellamy right before Praimfaya and Sactum Bellamy. Can I just say it’s interesting how she really thought of all the Grounders (including herself) before those of The Hundred. Octavia really didn’t want them to know about Bellamy
I literally cannot make sense of the memory clips other than Bellamy’s “Are you out of your mind?!?!”
Okay, what is up with the creep song being played in the background as Sangedakru talks in Trig to Indra while she and Murphy are walking over to The Faithful?
Of all the Murphy memories it had to be of Murphy sassing Pike saying he’ll survive which was I believe the first interaction or awareness Octavia had of him. So she really is picking the crumbs of her relationships to focus on
For a society that’s supposed to be about the greater cause Levitt sure does seem to take a more emotional interest and understanding with Octavia
Memory of Bellamy shouting “YOU CAUSED THE WORLD TO BE DESTROYED!!” Followed by Octavia’s mind space convo with Pike screaming, “redemption” was a hard hitter. Like damn, I’m still hurt by the angry Bellamy voice of season 1 being used by season 5 soft Dad Bellamy TOWARDS HIS SISTER. She’s really trying to redeem herself to be back on good terms with Bellamy and only wants his approval as he is legit her only blood family. Yeah The Hundred is her family as Monty said and she has the Diyozas and Griffins too and Indra but no one compares to Bellamy in Octavia’s mind.
I believe that’s Clarke on Lexa’s throne during the Battle of Polis and CoL and to the right is flashback pre first season Bellamy, Indra, and season 1 Clarke and the clips on the left is literally the Battle of Polis after the shuttdown of CoL
Levitt watching not only seasons 1-3 but all of Octavia’s life before landing on Earth is hardcore and is that even possible?????? Like?? Was he fast forwarding through all the Linktavia sex scenes because he was like, “Don’t need to see that.”
Octavia is aware that Blodreina was bad and regrets it which is growth and in the path of redemption
Levitt is also red blooded
It really feels like the writers spent such a well amount of time actually writing out this anomaly plotline and Octavia and Co contribution to it. Like 7x02 explains a lot about her changing as a person in those ten years and 7x05 explains why she came back physically different and immediately passing out in Gabriel’s arms and pieces together the time differences really well
Shepherd is referred to as “he” and a savior
All the three in the stone room were red blooded and I’m starting to think we finally have a society without Nightbloods
This is also promptly after Bellamy’s “death” and I see there’s no cleaning service on Bardo. And given this little scene the Anmonly reaches just to the edge of the grenade residue charred into the room so it’s likely given the respective distances of Bellamy from the grenade and the anomaly, he could actually be fine seeing as his hostage would’ve absorbed all the grenade’s physical impact (given Octavia only had a little bit of exposure on the left side of her face and she was standing well away 10-15ft) and the momentum of the blast is what would’ve affected Bellamy most
The woman who called for Hope, Echo, and Gabriel isn’t wearing a helmet yet everyone else is...maybe there are sort of miliary such levels of leadership. The Shepherd being what is presumed as the God and leader of faith and Anders being what is the highest ranking with then those of conductors and ones who don’t have to mask their face and then of course those who wear the helmets ranking 12-1 and prisoners being the lowest of everyone.
I’m still tripping over Anders’ speech. Like what a secretive little info dump. He’s talking about ancestors from Earth and pollution and maybe even toxic rain and breathing via survivable bunkers which is Second Dawn and Mount Weather.
“There was a Stone on Earth” is such a game changer. Like?? You can’t continuity error fill that into past seasons. You can’t tell me there’s another crypt in another Grounder city that no Grounder bothered to mess with a large stone with weird symbols all over it. This has got to be in some place new and undiscovered on Earth whether that be above or below ground. Did Becca have any other locations other than the lighthouse and mansion? Were there anymore Mount Weather bunkers? Maybe Second Dawn locations?
“We’re close. We’ve located the key. After hundreds of years it has returned to us.” HOW INTERESTING!! Hundreds of years being the time gap from Earth to Bardo and “it” being not a “he” or “she” as The Shepherd so clearly has a set “he” pronoun but The Key is an “it”. This reeks of Becca Tech. I literally cannot think of another organization that has been around for hundreds of years. So we’re probably talking about before the first Nuclear Apocalypse around when Becca was establishing Nightblood, ALIE, and Eligius Corporation.
If I have to hear a “this is for all mankind/ the last of mankind” speech one more time I’m gonna Lose It. Especially if all this jumping planets and time craziness can be connected back to before the show even started and is even the basis of the spin off series. I wanted something so nice and simple as Grounder Culture but I really don’t think it’s going to be that type of show after this seventh season because that feels like a descalation of this universe rather than a continuation set as a prequel series instead as a sequel series. So I wouldn’t be surprised if the prequel spin off show was about more anomaly planet jumping and how all these cultures took a different take with Becca Franco’s tech
Octavia is Bardo’s “most important asset” because unlike Hope, Octavia actually knows about The Key. We get it, it’s not really Clarke the Deciples are after. They just want the information of ALIE 2.0 because they believe Clarke still has it since they never saw past Octavia’s POV of the Battle of Polis and CoL. I can’t believe it’s come to a point where that actually makes legitimate sense to me. And I’m still not surprised Octavia continues to be the most important person in the series, and in my opinion who the show should have actually followed more than Clarke at some times. I think we can all agree that whatever happened during the Blodreina phase was way more important than Clarke on vacation with an adoptive daughter and Bellamy being a Space dad. I just wish we got more of what exactly happened during those six years in the bunker.
“This is what happens when you value individuals above the collective.” “It’s called love, you son of a bitch.” Hope continues to serve quality one liners.
This just again proves this society is one that looks for the greater outcome and what option proves them most benefit in the long run compared to right now unlike those we’ve been following for the past 6 seasons. The closests we’ve come to this ideology is “love is weakness” which seems to be strong with Grounder warriors (Heda Lexa, Queen Nia, Indra, Sheidheda) so potentially a long lasting military/soldier belief of some sort as other Grounders who aren’t warriors (Nyko, Luna, Niylah, Gaia, Emori) very much do believe in love and emotions.
Again with the “making the pieces fit” masterpiece. Mwah
Octavia is bleeding right as she comes through the anomaly and Bellamy still has her blood on his hands so when later “Bellamy” is supposedly brought through the anomaly with bloody hands, beat unconscious, dragged across the ground he kicks ass killing a few high level Bardo Deciples and takes one as hostage and is conviently “blown up” or “dies” idk it’s all levels of shady. Especially since we now know Octavia was on Sky Ring 10 years before Bardo. Either later on that’s not Bellamy or Bellamy was taken some place before Bardo
Did Indra even interact with Russel before Sheidheda took over or can she just indentify him off of quirks and charactization she’s come to recognize and familiarize herself with during her time under Sheidheda’s rule? Because if she can suss him out just like that then damn there’s some backstory right there especially given the side eyes from Sheidheda directed to Indra specifically.
Side note: Emori is looking better after hours worth of Medical observation. Still a bit uncertain if she’s fully okay, but good to see her better
Indra’s detective skills is just amazing. She had questionmarks all around her up until he said, “my my my” and ended with “kneel or die” and Emori’s concern raise through the roof from Indra’s defensive standoff. I’m loving seeing the Grounders take control and center stage and actually making this Sheidheda/Sanctum plot worth watching
Another sidenote: JR going from soft Argent father figure to pathetic, stuck up, false god Russel Prime and hardcore warriorist and killer Sheidheda is a HELL of an acting range and bravo dude
The people kneeling to the skeletons was a mental transition out of context in the trailer but still a pretty good one in context of the episode.
Look, whenever a grounder says, “Leave us.” You know it’s gonna get intense
So we already know from a previous episode that Sheidheda is Sangedakru and now we know at some point Sheidheda was all about conquering the clans and did in fact conquer Trikru after battle which costs the life of Indra’s father and probably many others. Indra gets really emotional during this confrontation with Sheidheda which leads me to believe there is a lot left unsaid and potentially connects to her husband/Gaia’s father and the reason why Indra is such an emotionally closed off person from when we first greet her to even now, and all her other relationships with those of Lincoln, Octavia, Lexa, Gaia, Kane and etc. Like, Indra saying Sheidheda should feel the pain for Abby is so out of blue for her. Abby wasn’t a strong relationship for Indra. She could have said that for Jackson as she’s in warrior mode and thinking about conquer the battlefield against Sheidheda so using the emotions of Jackson is to her hand. But I think she wants him to feel pain as retribution for the pain he caused her with her father’s death and her mother’s weakness and potentially her husband/Gaia’s father’s death. And taking the chip out doesn’t kill him, only takes away his immortality??? Because then?? The Josephine plotline??? Like I get Josephine and the current host is on the mind drive and that’s the immortality but if so, then that whole Josie vs Clarke thing could’ve been cleaned up.
Octavia is in new clothes. Levitt really wants to help Octavia. I’m sorry but if Bellamy was actually there don’t you think Levitt would be fangirling harder
Echo, Hope, and Gabriel finding Octavia chanting “I’m not afraid” in that dead tone is the creepiest thing ever.
Okay, walking into that scene, first off the “dead bodies” are way too stiff on the floor to be dead. Idc if it’s because of the suits, no one’s arm is that parallel to their body and straight when they’re dead. Your muscles literally relax and stop contracting after death. And with the shot of Bellamy’s figure in full screen you can see what looks like a ring bump on his left hand. I know that was a whole thing with the promo pics but in no close shot can you actually see the ring. So whether this was an error on everyone’s part or on purpose, I’m starting to think this may not be our Bellamy.
He doesn’t even sound like our Bellamy. Like we know how Bellamy sounds after Clarke’s life is threatened or she’s the topic of a dangerous conversation. He get’s emotional and higher pitched angry. Like the clips we heard of him earlier in the episode. This is cool, calm, lower pitch as if he has no idea. There’s no care in his voice at all. not very Bellamy like.
I had no clue the Deciple I was talking about not being dead was the one who pulled the grenade. Given his location to Octavia who was knocked off her feet and backwards a few feet on her ass, yeah imma call it that “Bellamy” got thrown back into the anomaly unwillingly and the guy in front of him got all the physically repercussions of the grenade’s blast.
Levitt full on knee slid his way to Octavia instead of the head of command Anders. I fear he has been more than just replaced. He’s gone and shown care and emotions for Octavia and we know that they terminate potential threats so I wouldn’t be surprised if they weed out their own who deter from the path most expected. Given the markings, Levitt is a high level 12?? and a conductor who knows about working the stones so there’s no way they could risk Levitt turning away from their belief if after 5 years Orlando did and ten years Dev did. It honestly seems like the easiest way to turn these Deciples is through acts of compassion because they have no substantial emotional connection to anyone. Dare I say, almost very Azgeda like. Cold, rough, spy, assassins, raised emotionless, disconnected to people.
Echo’s behavior is that simaliar to her Final Conclave Protecting King Roan behavior. She did everything needed to save Roan including cheating and only Roan could tell her otherwise. Then Roan died and she lost herself ready to kill herself and then Bellamy told her she still had purpose. Echo followed Bellamy, confusing her loyalty of followship with her emotions and now that she believes Bellamy is dead she has lost herself and purpose once again but this time her emotions — which she’s never been good with — are tied to her sense of loss. Really good depiction of her character and how fucked up Azgeda has made her. Especially since we know of how she became Echo through killing her best friend and Queen Nia’s merciless training. I don’t think she’s anything like Finn and his downfall, Finn was obsession, Echo is more like loss of purpose. And her scream at the end reminds me a LOT of Octavia’s scream in the forest and at the lake on the rocks. Desperation; but Echo is fueled by anger because she failed at saving Bellamy just as she failed at saving her King and maybe she’s blaming herself because had she not listened to them then maybe they’d both be alive but she doesn’t know how and where to place the blame on how she feels romantically about Bellamy.

Granted there’s a lot that happened in 7x07 but why is not one talking about Anders’ reaction to seeing Echo?? I’ve watched every person of the Deciples and checked the color of their blood and all that I’ve seen is red. And I really thought we’d have a society that didn’t know of Nightblood as maybe they could have “transcended” from Second Dawn. Idk. But here’s my thinking rambles.
Anders wasn’t that surprised when he saw Echo. Maybe curious as to why she cut her face but not surprised by her Nightblood. We know later on that Anders went to a secret level and woke up Bill Cadogan, founder/leader of SD/Shepherd of the Deciples. Cadogan was strongly Anti-Becca Franco and her tech. We know for a fact that Becca went down to Earth after the Neculear Apocalypse with intent on giving survivors her Nightblood serum. We also know that she was greeted and promptly burned alive by Second Dawn members. We know that they later injected themselves with Becca’s Nightblood serum. We know that these people are the ascendants of Grounders.
Which begs the question, who took the serum and why? Due to Anders’ lack of expression, it’s likely that either he knows from Cadogan that to access the Flame/A.L.I.E 2.0 you need Nightblood. This makes turning Echo into a Nightblood and a focus point of the season way more reasonable and important as she can now be used for another purpose other than as a warrior — I’ll expand on this soon. It’s also a possibility that Bill Cadogan is a Nightblood himself and maybe even the only one, hence why he’s been in cryosleep for hundreds of years. Maybe Anders is a resurrected guy with Mind Drives or some other way or a descendant of someone Cadogan trusted and thus that family line became the equivalent to a Flame Keeper.
We also know that with Levitt and Octavia’s mantra they only saw up to CoL and Battle of Polis where Clarke had the Flame in her head. They still do believe she does, and they know she’s a Nightblood as well given the blood transfusion from Ontari. We know from A.L.I.E 1.0 and Raven that everything is basically in code and can be converted into actual words/pictures/and that possession is a possible thing as also seen by Sheidheda through the Mind Drives.
The last war mankind with ever wage, is likely about immortality or preventing death as we’ve already had a bit of temptation of this in season 6 and the plot went in the way to destroy it.
So here’s where it comes altogether. Given the promo, Cadogan likely lost or loses his family and a lot of his followers. He blames Becca and A.L.I.E. 1.0 for the cause of the Nuclear Apocalypse so much that his followers burn her to death at first sight. Cadogan examines Becca’s tech and Nightblood Serum and this is when divisions are drawn. Some fucker finds an an anomaly stone and some other fucker wants to rebuild society. Second Dawn splits into two factions: Grounders and Deciples. Cadogan has a choice to make, he can’t unite them as they want different things but because he’s Anti-Becca, he chooses against those who become Grounders and leads those who will become Deciples. He once again uses his same tactics when he started the bunker when starting the Deciples and time traveling. We know that there’s specific codes for each person and that they’ve only found a sequence hundred of years ago. Once the anomaly stone on Earth was opened, it’s likely that all of Cadogan’s supporters went through seeing as the Grounders’ biggest threat was always Mount Weather and a lot of their saying and beliefs stem from Second Dawn mottos. Both societies believe feelings are a weakness, we know Cadogan makes all this shit up so he’s likely stone cold after losing his family and friends. He may of even been so lonely that he seccumbed into Becca’s Tech (Maybe the Flame before it was possibly stolen from him and used to signify Commanders of the Grounders). Instead of idolizing her, he uses her tech to try and find a way to expand not only the human mind, but also the human lifespan. He may even be trying to bring people back from the dead. But the only way to access Becca’s tech is through the Nightblood serum. As he could be harmed to the instability of her early models, Cadogan could of used people as guinea pigs instead. Thus, Nightbloods are rare in this society too but seeing one isn’t bazare. Cadogan likely chooses strong-minded warriors who have mastered their emotions and then turns them into Nightbloods, giving them whatever Becca Tech they have. (I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s actually a second Flame and it’s linked to the original one — could be by Becca, could be created by Cadogan or someone who was trying to copy the Flame.) So, Echo being a Nightblood is like a free experiment. And the fact that Clarke so perfectly arrives the same day Echo exposes her secret of Nightblood to Anders’ is too perfect.
Cadogan and Anders can use Echo to access the Key — being an “it” and therefore the Flame they believe is in Clarke’s head but is actually destroyed — into “downloading” all of the information off the Flame. As all the Commander’s spirits were stored on it and the Mind Drives actually have one’s mind downloaded, it’s likely that Cadogan and his Deciples have tried to bring people back (maybe with the Flame or Flame Copy). It’s likely that, while he can’t bring back his family, Cadogan is trying to make it so the human race will be impossible to kill so the next Becca and A.L.I.E. can’t destroy it again.
So, while we like to think we’re in the next chapter and whatever new problem Clarke and Co are facing is not related to their history??? Think again. Every single season has been related to Becca and her God Effect so you bet JRoth is gonna go full circle with this and Either actually give us Becca Franco or destroy everything she’s ever done. To record, The Ark IS THE ONLY SOCIETY that isn’t touched by Becca. Sure, she was a part of it, but she never left any of her Becca Tech with it. It’s gotten to be so much about Becca’s God Effect that they really made season 5 a war between two Becca clans (Eligius Prisoners bs Wonkru) fight each other over EDEN which ended up destroying the world. Again. This show gives nods to the dead, Becca is the one with the most nods.
So there’s no way season seven is ending until Becca is either brought back to life/Cadogan achieves immortality, or all Becca Tech and clans are destroyed.

So you’re telling me we really went from Skaikru becoming the thirteenth clan to Wonkru falling apart and there now being like 16 clans all because of a Commander (respectively) but the only person who could actually unite everyone was Octavia...an illegal existing sky person??
