I have received an angry comment on a fic for The 100 I wrote and posted over ten years ago.

late reply lol but I still love them!!! despite how the show destroyed them at the end -- and I don't even mean with the s7 stuff, I mean when they destroyed Bellamy's character to have him go back to obsessing about Clarke in s6

I think they're a great example of enemies to lovers done well: two people who understand each other and like each other and are attracted to each other but are in conflict because of wider, more complicated issues. so often enemies to lovers has two people arguing over a petty disagreement or misunderstanding until they're overcome with lust, but with Becho these two people WOULD end up together sooner if they weren't each loyal to opposing sides, and I find that interpretation of the trope so much more interesting. it's not an easy thing to just get over, their people and their side of the war is DEEPLY ingrained in who they are and important to them, and so despite whatever they feel about each other, they're enemies

also the betrayal!!! the conflict!!! the fact that despite how much Echo likes him, she still worked with Azgeda against him. she still almost killed Octavia. going from allies to enemies to friends to lovers. oh, it's so juicy!!!

I hate and avoid fics with multiple ship tags especially when its a rare ship and then there another ship tag with that person its one confusing and definitely drives me away from the fic because its very possible that my ship won't even happen or it ends up being one-sided or just alluded to. It one clouds up the ship tag for no reason and it's worse when it's an unfinished story of one chapter with like 500 words.

It really irks me because most of this really affects rare ships or hated ships in the fandom (becho) and its just so annoying i don't think anyone should be allowed to tag like 100+ tags i don't think everything in the story/plot needs a tag.
