Easy Bubble Up Pizza Casserole Recipe
Cooking disaster
So today, I tried something new. Bubble up pizza!
I did my research, found many different recipes, went shopping and got to cooking. The process was long and the suspense was building...but the endeavor was in vain. The pizza was GROSS and MUSHY and SOGGY and I put all my life into that pizza. Gawsh.Â
So, you start off with some biscuits. I chopped up about 16 of the 20 biscuits into fourths (red flag maybe...i  didn't use all 20 biscuits).
Another red flag! I didn't use a casseole dish.Â
Then, you get some pizza sauce which I didn't have because Nigerians don't make pizza but we do make rice so we have lotsa tomato paste but I found some tomato sauce. Used a can of that and combined it with some ground turkey and about 2 cups of mozarella cheese. Added about two tablespoons of water because the mixture looked a little small (possible red flag?) and then put it all together.Â
Another red flag! I didn't mix the mixture too well because the oven passed the 10 minute pre-heat time and I felt like I was wasting too much energy and I could feel that electricity bill skyrocketing.Â
Then, popped it in the oven at 350 degrees F for about....30 minutes or more! I tried so hard to make sure it wouldn't be soggy but I started smelling burnt cheese and had to cut the oven off.Â
My brother was bursting at the seams with criticism, but he didn't know any better. He didn't knew how much emotional unrest I endured sacrificing my LIFE for this pizza. Â Plus, most of it is gone anyways.Â
So, what do you guys think went wrong?Â
Tomato sauce too thin/watery? Not enough biscuits? Too large of a pan? Didn't use the right pan?Â
I've been hittin up so many bloggers that have tried this with the same question lol. I'm eager to understand! I want to try this again.
Oh, I made shortbread cookies too. Tasted like flour and sugar before I added sprinkles .Â
