During a podcast the host mentioned bread machines as a way to eat gluten-free bread and reduce the plastic packaging associated with many gluten-free baked goods from the store.
Reducing plastic is great, and the bread machine will also not make the kitchen too hot in the summer like using my oven for baking does.

I got a Breadman Ultimate Plus bread machine today from Goodwill for $13
A lot of the recipes I saw called for milk, which I do not usually have in the house, but after some digging I tried this recipe and it turned out well!
The easiest and YUMMIEST bread machine bread recipe. With a flaky crust and soft inside, this recipe is a crowd pleaser every time!

Basil Parmesan Bread Experiment #1
Bread Machine Version
2 ½ tsp yeast
1 1/4 cup warm water
3-3 1/2 cups bread flour
½ tbsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
½ tsp Tabasco
1/8 cup olive oil
1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
¾ cup shredded Jarslberg cheese
½ tbsp dried basil (1/8 cup fresh minced)
Pan Load Order:
Water, salt, Tabasco, sugar, one cup flour, olive oil, basil or pesto, cheeses, then rest of flour, then yeast in hole in the flour.

I found my Toastmaster 1195 Bread and Butter Maker in a thrift store and the reason I got it was that it had the instructions with it. They included recipes which had a basic cheese bread I made for my sister-in law all the time when I stayed with them. I’ve made the Frog Basil Parmesan bread for years, often with pesto. It makes seriously yummy toast. You can exchange the Jarlsberg for Gruyere. And this is good on dough setting as well, and you can do an egg glaze on the top before you put it in the oven.
