Hello, everyone! How is everyone doing on this blessed day?
As promised, we will be reading two sets of verses to make up for the missed day yesterday.
Our first set of verses are Leveticus 19:1-10!
1 TheĀ LordĀ said to Moses,Ā
2Ā āSpeak to the entire assembly of IsraelĀ and say to them: āBe holy because I, theĀ LordĀ your God, am holy.
3Ā āĀ āEach of you must respect your mother and father, and you must observe my Sabbaths. am theĀ LordĀ your God.
4Ā āĀ āDo not turn to idols or make metal gods for yourselves. I am theĀ LordĀ your God.
5Ā āĀ āWhen you sacrifice a fellowship offering to theĀ Lord, sacrifice it in such a way that it will be accepted on your behalf.Ā
6Ā It shall be eaten on the day you sacrifice it or on the next day; anything left over until the third day must be burned up.
7 If any of it is eaten on the third day, it is impure and will not be accepted.
8Ā Whoever eats it will be held responsible because they have desecrated what is holy to theĀ Lord; they must be cut off from their people.
9Ā When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest.
10Ā Do not go over your vineyard a second time or pick up the grapes that have fallen. Leave them for the poor and the foreigner. I am theĀ LordĀ your God.
Explanation: Here, God is explaining to Moses an important factor in Christianity - sacrifice. When sacrificing fruit, you must eat it on the day of itās sacrifice, or the next day itās supposed to. Anything left over will be sacrificed.
ā¦These are times where we can show Jesusā love to other people, and how we can treat other people! As God says in verses 9-10ā¦leave your leftovers to the poor and foreigner - or in other words, consider how youāll be kind to others consistently!
