Happy first day of 2023. How are you all spending this day? I'm staying at home. I've been reading and doing my workouts. I plan to cook later today and maybe take a walk too. 🥳 About the picture, it's just me showing the new books I got for Christmas. I've been really struggling with my faith lately. I walked away for a while because I was dead set on God being the source of the trouble that has come my way, I felt it was God's fault for allowing me to be constantly abused and attacked by others, I felt God didn't want me or even love me and that's why all these other Christians were quick to condemn me to Hell. I was so mad because God remained silent. I felt His silence was His confirmation about not loving me anymore. I felt it was His way of saying that I was too far gone and was no longer His child. I thought He was telling me I wasn't worthy of His grace, mercy, and love and that I never would be. It's been so difficult and it caused a lot of depression and suicidal ideations. Jared and I went to camp last week, and it's like that's where God wanted me because the messages that I heard during evening services were exactly what I needed to hear. The messages reminded me that God may be silent, but He isn't absent, and it's not God's fault that I'm being abused and torn down, but He is using those problems for my greater good! I can proudly say that I gave my life back over to God and have come back to the faith. To further confirm that God wanted me there, I gave my grandma a Billy Graham Study Bible years ago, and have been looking for one since. The last day at camp, they had been giving away a Billy Graham Study Bible in the free Bibles.
