Blessed are the peacemakers. Blessed are those who disrupt moneymaking in holy places. Blessed are the merchants who sold Christ the leather from which he braided a whip. Blessed are those that see their neighbors’ dignity, even when instructed not to. Blessed are those who mourn. Blessed are those who remain steadfast, and blessed are those who waver. Blessed are those wander through the desert or march through the biting cold for the sake of their loved ones. Blessed are those who honor the spirit dwelling in the stranger. Blessed are those who offer up their own comfort on the altar or in the tithing box in order to take up their crosses. Blessed are those who defend, blessed are those who rage, blessed are those who weep, blessed are those who do not let fear silence the call to justice.
