Elijah climbed to the top of Mount Carmel and bowed low to the ground and prayed and said to his servant, “Go now, look toward the sea.” So he went up and looked, and said, “There is nothing.” And seven times he said, “Go again.” Then it came to pass the seventh time, he said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man's hand, rising out of the sea.” (1 Kings 18:42-44)
Elijah didn’t give up praying, even though the answer had not yet come. But he knew God would answer his prayer, it was only a matter of time. Have you been praying for something desperately? Don’t give up asking until you see the answer. The answer to your prayer might just be round the corner. Don’t give up too soon, God is listening.
