yk what is true wasted potententiol in season 5? the WSQK. Steve and robin's job was always intertwined with moving the plot further but they only use it in the begining and in the epilogue. like wouldn't it be so amazing if Robin did speak out against the government on the radio? or better yet someone was getting vecna'd and they didn't have a walkman but they did have a radio and then someone could broadcast their favorite song through the WSQK. is my mic muted??

So how do we think an ep 9 would even start? Like, how could you even begin an ep like that with how the finale left off? A cold open to where things actually left off before Mike getting Vecna’d would be pretty cool, but I also kind of want it to start out pretending like it’s just a continuation of the epilogue. OH MY GOD literally just thought of this as I was writing it out—

It could open with the basement time loop theory.

Walk with me

We see Mike leaving and closing the door right where it left off, and then it jump cuts back into the basement, restarting the D&D campaign exactly how it would have started before. Either it happens a few times for Mike to realize (having deja vu, noticing inconsistency like Karen’s scars) or he’s aware and notices that time just looped right away and is like “wtf just happened”. Maybe he plays it off at first because that didn’t actually just happen, right? so he continues with the campaign but grows increasingly unnerved and knows something is Wrong but the rest of the party aren’t phased at all and he feels like he’s going crazy.

I don’t know, throwing stuff at the wall here. (Would make a killer fanfic though if anyone hasn’t already written it.)
