slightly odd parallel between tf85 and s3
meant to make this post months ago and forgot. i really think the whole 4th of july fair is to do with birthdaygate and what really happened on will's birthday, this just confirms it to me even more
bonus parenthood weirdness
though this might also suggest something of will's (or el's) parenthood and i'm not sure what to make of it. i made a post a while ago about how all the movies on the byers tv stand suggest something for the members of the family. woman in red though threw me because it's a movie about infidelity
and at the fair larry stands between a woman in white (who looks like she's wearing a wedding dress) and a woman in red with the same sleeves who he gives a teddy bear (a stand in for the byers children and this one looks just like will's bear that mike hands el at the end of the season). also confusing is that i think these girls are meant to be teenagers? from the jr miss hawkins sash. lonnie does seem to keep dating teenagers (gross)
ironically the guy who tries to cheat in the woman in red is also called teddy
is this why will is the only one without a j name? is this how terry became pregnant? i sort of want neither to be true really. maybe lonnie was cheating and that stirred up some drama in the past but then why is the girl holding will in bear form? did it come to a head on will's birthday?
also two sides of the wsqk sync end with songs about hammers. the songs are 'hammer to fall' by queen and 'sledgehammer' by peter gabriel. in the former the hammer is death and potentially a reference to the cold war (hammer and sickle). in the latter the hammer is his dick and the music video opens on sperm. so. little bit of a dichotomy there.
finn wolfhard promoted his new album with a photo of a hammer and noah schnapp was wearing a nail bracelet in his pfp at some point (not sure if that's still true). dunno what this meannnnnnssss. that's without even touching on the fairground game at all with the symbolism of the mindflayer as the clown and hitting a bell as memory fuckery or timeline shifting. whyyyyy is this so confusinnnggg
