This post is late 😫 oops
The Coca-Cola Refreshment Corner opened at Disneyland in 1955.
At the Refreshment Corner, you could sit down and eat, and also listen to a pianist play songs on a Ragtime Piano. (they still have this it's just a different piano)
For a few years they only sold coke. In 1958 they began offering sandwiches too. But they phased out the use of Coca-Cola bottles and switched out to serving the popular soda pop in Dixie brand cups. Soo mid.
In 1960, DJ Jerry Dexter would host the program Coca Cola Side Walk Cafe nightly on radio station KMPC - 710, from 10pm-12am. On Fridays and Saturdays he would host directly from Disneyland.
Coca-Cola sponsored elements were (and some still are) everywhere. Including something called Discover Disneyland in 1969, where you could win prizes by finding and collecting Coke caps
Above: A 1969 map. The Haunted Mansion, one of Disneyland's most popular attractions, opened that same year. The attraction's building sat vacant for years in New Orleans Square before opening in 1969.
Walt Disney said the ghosts would take care of the inside, while the disney imagineers (artists/engineers that worked on developing the rides for the park) would work on keeping the outside looking nice.
The Creels moved to their home in 1959, coincidence?
⬆️The aforementioned bottle caps you could collect from each area.

*Any of the attractions I have put in bold are attractions referenced, intentionally or unintentionally, in ST, whether it be the attractions themselves or the films they are based on
In 1985, the same year Coca Cola released New Coke, Disneyland and Coca-Cola partnered to welcome the park's 250 millionth guest and this artwork was made to promote it:
You see the 250 Million? Look closer: you'll see a bunch of stacked Coca-Cola cans 😩 and the guy in the middle is holding a New Coke can 😠 pretty sure
In a 1990 issue of Disneyland LINE Magazine, it was announced that Disney signed an agreement that would allow Coca-Cola “worldwide marketing rights involving Euro Disneyland,[now known as Disneyland Paris], tie-ins with motion pictures, Consumer Products and more,” (Vol. 22, No. 12, March 16th). And we know where Finn Wolfhard was recently 🙃
⬆️ some Coca Cola Disney pins from the 90s (including my little meow meow figment, and space mountain, which finn mentioned recently per @misspracticallydelulu 's post)
This is what the Refreshment Corner looks like today, checkered tiles and all.
Looks familiar 😒
evil coca-cola crate
To expand further on this would require some time, but the concepts of radio dj's, coca-cola, checkerboard floors, red, scavengerhunts, 50s americana...the parallels to the haunted mansion in the creel house... the owner of the mansion in the 2003 film named Edward... ghosts... an interracial relationship that isn't accepted in the time period it takes place in (Edward/Elizabeth, Henry/Patty)... this could just continue forever.
Btw M marks the spot
The VCR has little guides that pull the VHS tapes out and into the system for it to be read basically…
The shape… M… M marks the spot
M-loading system
I think Mike literally has all of the memories somehow, or he has access to them somehow… this man has been playing the longest game of all time I know it to be true
VHS TAPEGATE!!
OKAY Y’ALL!!!!!
My first ~major~ find on the VHS Season
I know everyone is talking about the white lines, but LOOK HOW MUCH OF THE DEMOGORGON you can see in the background in this shot! That’s CRAZY! I’m going to reblog with the original clip just for comparison!
💬 0 🔁 0 ❤️ 0
JK it won’t let me repost with it!
Electromagneticgate we are so here! I don’t know what it means at all yet, but it’s so interesting because I wonder how this will work when we get to the actual clip of the Shadow Monster on the VHS-C but we’re watching it on VHS or on VHS-C (because VHS-C was out in 1984). Will it disappear…? Are the true monsters, more visible on VHS?
I mean, they are shown to interact with tapes, and now we are getting the VHS tapes. VHS tapes work by having analog signals (different from like radio signals but still signals) encoded onto them, and then the VCR basically decodes them into a format that is visible on your screen.
Even the damn NOISE from a VHS tape looks like the starry sky backgrounds in the show…
Remind you of anything…?
Lastly, putting the date on a VHS is a manual recording option… Will, you smart boy!
Worth noting, this DATED tape is also the one the lab confiscated… 🤨🧐
Some of the ones Brenner has are dated, some are not.
Removing height would also likely, get rid of these dates! *we need more height!*
This is making me wonder about these end shots again, the black and white.
Lastly, the consumer … VHS (video home system) is a consumer-level analog tape recording 👀
WHAT does that mean hehehehe in this context ANYWAYS why is Brenner using consumer level taping for the lab what a weirdo, like ur with the government you have access to higher technology id assume
This is a really random connection but I remember 2 points about the laundromat and the Palace Arcade
(1) Threat Level Mom pointed out that the Star Court Mall apparently led to the closure or bankruptcy (?) of the laundromat on Main Street
(2) In regards to this picture:
Someone (I do not remember who to tag) mentioned that they never went to the arcade in Season 3 well…
Is the laundromat closing/having financial issues, actually the arcade having trouble staying afloat?
Why would there be any significance for the Palace Arcade having to go away…? 🫣
Stop trying to tear them apart omg

What the fuck is going on LOL
Oh and a song named Susie Q I must say, I have no idea what’s going on here but like what the hell 😭
Tarot truly never fails, it did show me the tower and boy was it right.
I’ve seen people talking about Matthew Modine’s instagram replies saying “tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow” and how this could be a hint towards something coming out every other day, or something about MacBeth.
I raise you, Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow the short story by Kurt Vonnegut.
I will be back later with an analysis!
